QUOTE(jacky5283 @ Jan 21 2007, 09:36 PM) Hey ex-state swimmer, can you give me some tips on how do you train your stamina, and essentials intensive training on the ground before going into the water. I know all the basics of the simming styles but all i lack is stamina and muscle tireness. For the moment, i can only do 75m in one shot. My experience as a polo player is try to use to the situation inside the pool. Like what Ben said, push yourself harder. Motivate and b confident on yourself. Try to train more often, maybe 4 days per week. For the time you are training, try to set a target for yourself. Let say 1st few days, u try to set 500m and complete in 1 hour. Then another week increase it by 20 - 30%. By following all this, u will notice differences within 2 weeks. That is what i did when i was playing polo. Hope my experience can help you... |

Forgoten to mention 1 thing. In order for ur legs to have enuf power and reduce tiring, we need to do "frog jump" very often to increase the power of the legs and reduce the chances of getting cramp...

QUOTE(Snake @ Feb 4 2007, 11:52 PM) hi guys. Try to exercise on "frog jump" to provides ur tight to have more powers. After few weeks of doin so, u will notice u can even stand for more than 30 mins.how to water treading using rotary kick without hands (Eggbeater kick)?? i just know how to treading by using both kick and 8 pattern hands only, try to learn this skill but try so hard also cannot. some water polo player show me and said they can do this treading for 30 mins nonstop. Any source or technique to provide ? There is 1 more way to strengthened ur tight, but i cant show it. I dunno what we call that. I can actually brief it for u. Its like swimming in the pool with breast stroke kick. When u kick, u have to kick from the bottom of the pool an ur whole body have to up from the water. If can see ur "pusat" then it will b great. Try that non - stop for 100M. 2 days per week. U will notice the difference. |

QUOTE(Snake @ Feb 7 2007, 01:40 PM) thanks for the info. about the second trick, when i kick from bottom, did i contact the bottom on my footside like the normal breastroke kick ? or like doing squat ? No...u did not contact anything. Just breastroke kick from the button and your whole body have to up. Actually i ms 1 thing. It supposely to kick twice. Once u kick up already, u kick another to stay your body up above the water.btw, pusat is ur "d!ck" right ? "Pusat" is right at your tummy there. The tiny little 1? Oh yea... 1 thing, i might not b able to make it.. Will update later. |

QUOTE(emiwy @ Feb 7 2007, 06:35 PM) just read this. omg i used to do this for my lifesaving test. my, was that tiring. i cant even stay up over, say chest/shoulder. apatah lagi belly button. Actually its not that hard though. Mayb my brief makes u to imagine that its a quite hard task la...haha.... For 1st timer maybe it is, but after few times, u will find it quite easier, but jz tiring. Last time i can reach about the belly button, but now i guess i cant do that anymore... -__- When i take my life saving test, i just do some frog jump only. Life saving just need to have enough stamina then can already. |
