i stay at vista komanwel but never go to ksn pool.if rm4 only, then its cheap la..can try after this.i never took swimming class before.my lil bro went for class,i watched n i learned myself.hehe..at least i can swim breaststroke n i think its the easiest to learn for beginner plus its the most relaxing style..now im trying to improve my 'freestyle' skill.still cant breathe properly..after 10-20 metres will start gasping for air.haha

breaststroke or in malay we used to call it 'gaya katak' or frog style coz we kick our legs like froggie..hahaha..it's easy n calm coz u can swim slowly while keeping ur head above water to breathe..n coz of slow movement,u wont be tired easily..

Fast or slow depends on your speed, or how you want to swim. It usually also depends on your rhythm and balance. For example, eventhough Ian Thrope had an unusual rhythm, it definitely didn't mean it was efficient per se, coz it worked for him.

I can describe how I do it when I am cruising. This method is efficient in terms of energy saving per distance, but is not slow either. I've have taught this method to some people before. It seems simple, but it actually turns out to be not so easy for beginning swimmers because it requires rhythm and balance, but it is a good way to learn balance in the water.

For this method, I make one kick per stroke. Each stroke is a long and gliding stroke. Also, there is a lot of body roll each stroke. So it'll look like rolling left and right. Each stroke is fairly strong to provide the propulsion for the glide, so less strokes are used per distance. You should be able to maintain some speed which is necessary for this method. If you're too slow, it will not work. So in the end, there is enough rest between each stroke so you won't get tired for quite a while. I travel around 2-3 meters per stroke.

thanks for the tips. will try it later. hope it works on me.
before this, i only swim across the pool width by holding breath. i breathe 2-3 times only coz i can't breathe properly. never try to swim along the 50m (is it 50m) length, sure i'll stop in the middle. but if use breaststroke, i can go all the way.

so far i only managed to float, kick water to move forward(leg motion), but tend to lose the sync whenever i try to move my arms, its like i ll forget the leg motions when i move my arms..

slowly bro.. swimming requires practice..
but once u got the correct technique, u wont forget it..
it's like riding bicycle.. it takes time.. but ur body will remember the process forever..
observe how people swim, then try urself.. nod.gif

owh yeah, regarding the fog problem,
i'm facing the same problem with my new arena goggle..
50bucks goggle, i thought should be ok..
but only after few times using it, then the fogs already showing up..
i bought the antifog liquid, but no effect..
after 10minutes under water, the lens start fogging again..

the goggle case clearly stated that it has anti-fog..
that's why i bought it.. or else i wont buy it..
the antifog liquid, i bought it for 20bucks..
now i have to apply it everytime i wanna swim..
well, anyone using powered lense goggle?
i tried my friend's goggle, his power about the same with mine..
very clear.. but he said the price is about rm80 for both lenses..
