I'm still learning la. Yes, front crawl is freestyle. I normally describe freestyle = apa style pun boleh...hahaha..There is a little trick that makes it all happen in flip turn. I'll show you what it is when we swim together. But be prepared to get some water into your nose (very painful experience) before you master the flip turn. Preliminary advice is to exhale some air out of your nose before you start your sommersault. Else you won't be able to consistently breath air out once you've initiated the flip.
I learned myself (still very preliminary). No money for a coach... But my kick sucks. Seems to be a bit like breast stroke. I need more practice. Can't seem to stream well as after a 25m struggle, i was gasping for air..hahahaha
No worries rubbermilk, can always start by breaststroke and open turn. It is the easiest and most relaxed style and turn.

hee.. same with me...better learn by ourself. Afraid if take a class being cheat coz some swimming class just teach main2 and not serious, and we pay with high fee... shakehead.gif

Yea man..hopefully it'll be fruitful.

Sherly and rubbermilk no need worry, I'll ask my wife to accompany you girls. She's also not good at swimming. At least we can learn together.

Did I attach any picture of my condo's pool? If not, I'll try to snap one.

Weekdays not many people swimming. Weekends are more, but not super crowded till you can't swim. Normally it was never more than 5 people.

kinda long time no drop a message here
Alright, so if like that I will set a date and time for the gathering? Of cause try to make it for weekdays and weekend too. I hope to learn too! Really hope to get a good sifu at here to teach me, I know how to float, don't mind to go for practice by myself on a very frequent basis. Just hope to get to do some exercise smile.gif

I will come in more frequent, everyone can also post up any preferred day and timing, so I can make arrangement for the gathering smile.gif

Thank you!

Anytime is fine by me on my crib as I swim daily from 1800 - 1900 (Extend if you guys come...the more the merrier). For Bangsar or KJ pool, we then have to arrange.

If want to make it after Hari Raya
I may suggest how about on 8th October 2008, time around 6pm onwards and location at Alucard_my's place for a swimming lesson session?

As for other location, may be on the weekend? How you guys think?

Didn't know the swimming thread's active. Anyways; I normally swim @ Bkt Jalil Aquatic Centre every Wed Night and Sat Evening. Actually; I don't swim too much as I focus more on my rehab exercises for my old injuries; but I do 'bout 3 laps front crawl and 1-2 laps back per session. Don't mind joining the session as I am curious to learn 'bout the flip turn as I think that's the only part of the front crawl I can't get.

Have any of you guys tried Bkt Jalil Aquatic Centre? Believe you me; when I said i've tried almost all the public pools in Shah Alam/PJ/Subang. Bkt Jalil's so far the best for me.

sad.gif These days, the weather is very unpredictable. I missed my swim yesterday as it was raining rather heavy. But today I'll try again. Anyone feel like joining today? Even after the rain stops, I'll be there.. biggrin.gif
