Hi Guys, I'm a relatively new VOX user.

Just wanted to check if anyone can help shed some light on my UOB VOX cashback. I've attached a screenshot of all transactions since I received the card, but cannot understand how my July cashback 5.54 on 16 Jul is derived. I thought my June online spend would qualify for the max RM50 cashback? Am I missing something?

Has anyone else received cashback on 16 Jul?

June's 5% cash back is not yet out.
I assumed RM 5.54 is your 0.3% transactions. Calculate your total previous statement's and x 0.3%. That should be the amount.

Wait, this is your unbilled transaction right? 0.3% will only show in your statement.
RM 5.54 could be some promos. hmm.gif Not 5%.

Thanks! You're a genius and lifesaver! This is 0.3% of May + June transactions.

The listing I posted is not my unbilled transactions. I can't retrieve my online statements for June and July, as I used to hold UOB Lady's Solitaire, but cancelled and applied for Vox. My first Vox statement in May was combined with UOB Lady's, but since I cancelled the Lady's, there's been an error retrieving statements. Will sort it out with CS when I get back from holiday.

However, I retrieved the screenshot listing using the "transaction enquiry" function, where you can specify the dates. I just requested for 1 May 2016 to 21 July 2016.

Shit.. Onecard can online topup? Shit I never knew this. Wasted all the cb before this

Yes, buy gift card at oneshop.com.my, send to yourself, and reload your one card. Reload takes 5-15 minutes to be credited.

During Raya they had an amazing promotion. Buy RM100 gift card, get RM15 credit. I totally maxed out on this and all my family members one cards were reloaded with at least RM500 haha.

Together with 5% online rebate, it was very very worth it.

Everything OK right? I just hope those with UOBPayOnline transactions can report here if they are still eligible for cash back. Also new merchants to update on first page. biggrin.gif
*
Yepp - All my 3 transactions (Air Asia, OneCard Gift Card, plus AEON using POS Online) were all eligible. Got exactly RM50 for RM1,000 spend.

I will try to remember to post here if I see any One Card reload promotions. There were so many recent ones - Mother's / Father's Day (get RM5 for each RM100) and Raya (get RM15 for each RM100).

Tip: This is a really good way to pay for stores where they either only accept cash (e.g. many of the smaller eateries) or impose a RM50 limit for using credit cards. For example, I always pay for Infusion Coffee, Go Noodle, Bison Cafe, AK Noodles, Old Siam etc using One Card. Can also convert to parking credits. It is awesome.

Thanks for sharing.

Never know about this as I reloaded manually by cash from machine every month about RM80  sad.gif

The gift card will be send to your address and transfer fund into OneCard ??
*
Steps:

1. Go to https://www.oneshop.com.my/

2. Buy gift card, put your own e-mail and mobile number in the recipient details

3. After paying, wait about 5-15 minutes, you will get an e-mail notification saying that you have received a gift card, with a link to click

4. Once you click that link and enter your OneCard PIN, you gift card will be automatically reloaded into your OneCard.

EASY and all online smile.gif

Just called infinite customer service to add-on this YOLO card, can apply already.

No more benefit or cash rebate for VOX card start on 1 October 2016. Not sure UOB will cancel it or not. Get YOLO now still can enjoy RM50+RM50 cash back for August and September. After that only YOLO RM50.
*
Thanks for the news flash. Ugh, am tempted to apply tomorrow just to test Pos Online (for Aeon repayment). If no cashback, will cancel both YOLO and Vox once the Vox cashback ceases.

Haven't received too. Was it you last time who was in the last batch with me? Maybe we're always the last ones.

Once Vox is made redundant I'm just going to cancel. I signed up while they were running the free Lenovo phone sign up promotion, and have been enjoying the monthly RM50 by paying AEON credit. Also had a Ladies Solitaire card, which gave me 10% on groceries. Was fantastic for topping up TNG at Jaya Grocer.

Maybe will sign up as new UOB customer in a few months once people have tried out YOLO eligibility for cashback.

Well, no harm for you to convert to YOLO too right? I will convert and see how it fares from there.

Once my office is for sure shifting to Gardens and since JG will be there soon, I may apply for the Lady's card too. laugh.gif

Prefer to let other people be the Guinea pig and then sign up as new customer once everything is settled. These few months Im focusing on playing with balance transfers from multiple banks. Doesn't cost anything and returns can be quite substantial through efficient cash flow management.

Can manage la.. unless u got so many other stuff to do.. does not take much actually unless u kejar the rebates till the dot then I agree it's tiring..

At the end of the day.. I just pay my needed expenses with a little more hassle to earn that extra bit.. kinda petty but after a yr or so, I have some money I can spend for myself without feeling that guilty...
*
Yeh, I am ultra petty with cashback, until I think it's a bit of an obsession. The best thing for me is calculating how much I get back every year, and considering it can be in the thousands (tax free money!) that's my main motivation. The small amounts from various cards don't seem like much, but cumulatively it's amazing.

Btw, not sure if anyone else is doing it, but I applied for CIMB CR and 2 supplementary (just asked my husband and sister to let me apply), but I control all 3 cards and use solely for online transactions to replace Vox. Since limit for online cashback is RM600 per card, 3 cards give RM1800 which makes them good Vox replacement.

control? u use the card to make online purchase? it will be require OTP?

Also, it is no right to use other ppl cc to make purchase. It should no encourage ppl to do so in lowyat.
*
All supplementary cards are entirely dependent on the principal holder, who is ultimately liable for all card activity and transactions. A principal has the right to exercise control and can even call card centre, request for details, and block or terminate a card without the supplementary user's consent.

I did not "encourage" the use of other people's cards, but merely stated that I control them - the OTP goes to my husband's phone and I ask him to tell me. Simple. Please do not jump to conclusions so quickly. This is a friendly forum to share info and I think people appreciate knowing about options on cashback cards, particularly now that Vox and other cards are changing terms and conditions.

Just dropped an email to appeal after I got rejected for the YOLO application...they asked me to re-apply after 6 months. Duh...guess I have no choice but to skip this for now...still looking for a good card for bills CB. Maybe I will just use CIMB CR + PosOnline but I hate the slow response from PosOnline =(
*
Just wondering what is the issue with Pos Online? I use is very frequently, and it is not too bad (except for the 2% service charge, but I can live with that since I'm paying with CB cards).

If the transaction doesn't show up in 1-2 days, you can always e-mail customer service. I even have my standard e-mail to copy and paste. They will typically follow up within 1-2 days from receiving e-mail and will even call you to confirm that issue has been resolved.

Hope this helps while you're waiting for YOLO.

I haven't actually try PosOnline, so far I've been seeing complains about the transaction appears slow or even after a week or 2 weeks? hmm.gif If it's within 1-2 days I think it's acceptable. Let me try using it and see if it's good to continue laugh.gif
*
Just sharing my experience, to see if it helps you. Every month, I pay my AEON CC using 4 PBB VS + 3 CIMB CR + 1 UOB Vox. Out of the 8 transactions (or sometimes more), my average POS Online processing time is 1-2 days (usually only 1 day). For me, there were only 2 occasions (reported in this forum) where my payments took 1-2 weeks to process. I was very worried during that time, but now things are back to normal.

If you do have any problems, can share here, and we can help guide you through the complaint process. It is not too bad.
