QUOTE(David83 @ Jul 16 2016, 04:05 PM) No need. You pay at where? UOB VOX CC cash back credit system is not consistent to other cash back cards in the market or by UOB. It's better than you snapshot the transaction of your Maxis payment here, so that other can help to analyze if it's eligible or not. At maxis pay

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Jul 16 2016, 11:37 AM) Wow. Thanks a million, that is what I'm looking for. For credit card transaction, the FOREX is more towards VISA / MASTER rate instead of bank rate.. Bank charged additional 1% (most bank) for FOREX transaction. You may refer this for VISA card: https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/trave...alculator.html/For MasterCard, refer this: https://www.mastercard.com/global/currencyconversion/

QUOTE(kart @ Jul 16 2016, 02:17 PM) Thanks. My bill shows TM logo, so I just select Telekom Malaysia. Further questions about UOB Payonline: 1) For Streamyx bill, TNB bill and Maxis bill paid via UOB Payonline, should I remove all hyphens when I key in the account number? 2) What is the minimum amount that can be paid for three bills, via UOB Payonline? Thanks again. 1) Just key in the account # as shown in ur bill. If got hyphen, include the hyphen. 2) Not sure about the minimum payment, usually i pay at least rm50 for each because i'm using vox card to pay.

Hi, I would like to ask about the annual fee of UOB Preferred Platinum card. I was told by the booth staff that the annual fee of this card will be waived for the first two year. Then i applied for the card. But when i came home, i cant find any source about the waiving annual fee for this card in the uob official website.
Is it true that uob will waive the annual fee for this card for the first two year. If no, will i still be charged if let say my application is successful but i do not activate the card when i receive it?
Thanks

Thanks Nope, it is just a promise from the agent who applied for you. Better get the fellow to give you B&W for this, I don't think you want to argue with him after one year? Usually first year is free AF though. Some cards will require you to have at least one swipe to waive it even for first year, some auto-waive it, so check out the website. Just curious though, why did you apply for this card? Free gift from the agent? Else, this is not an attractive card actually... This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 16 2016, 10:27 PM

I wanted to apply only VOX card. But they said it will be better if i apply the cards in combo (master and visa) and keep persuading me saying the card has no annual fee for the first two year. He did promised me i will get a free gift if my application is successful. i keep asking them will uob really will waive the annual fee, they asked me dun worry with very confident face. So at the end i agreed. so, if i do not activate the UOB Preferred Platinum card if my application is successful. will i still be charged with the annual fee and is there any consequences like eg. i will be blacklisted by the bank??? Try and send an email to UOB to confirm on free annual fee waiver in black and white. I did that after signing up with agent's promise on fee waiver, just in case there's any dispute.

There is no combo card for UOB though... Once you receive the card, just call to cancel. No issue one. Most of the cards will give free auto-waived first year, while some require one swipe within 60 days. Will not be blacklisted.

QUOTE(MyJen @ Jul 16 2016, 10:45 PM) Will send an email to UOB to request black and white Thanks Thanks for your information I guess the agent ask u to apply 2 cards to give u better free gift.. If u think the gift is not useful, then u can just apply 1card. But if u think is useful, no harm keeping the card for 6 months n let the agent earn their Comm. Don't just cancel the card since the agent have ask ur consent b4 apply for u..

Well, my biggest concern is just about the annual fee of the card. I agreed to apply the card since he promised me that i will get my annual fee waived. if this does happen in the future, i will not mind keeping the card for at least 6 month so that he can earn his commission. Is it every bank charges the annual fee in first monthly credit card statement including UOB? p/s I have no experience on applying credit card which has annual fee charged. Would appreciate if someone answer my question. A million thanks

So you have to call and ask for Preferred Plat if they will charge from first year. To answer to your question, some banks auto-waive for first year and some require a minimum swipe, though the former is practised by most of the banks. Still no harm in checking.

Hi guys, I have 1 question to ask..
currently, I have uob one card and uob vox card.. I am going to buy the phone that cost me around 2k+ at 11street / lazada
but both of the website just offer the 0% installmemt for the maybank credit card and some other bank only..
I wonder that we can buy from lazada/11street website, then we make it to 12 installment plan in 0%..?? any 1 can share with me??
because I saw my uob card benefit.. it said we can do 0% installment by calling the cs to make it ... ( NOT EPP ... EPP is need charge for 1st month installment..)
Thanks...

I think MillkTea93 meant is charge first, convert later.
Normally, it's NOT 0% interest.
