So far I only turn on SMS trigger for Maybank cards. Actually I don't need it because I check my unbilled transactions quite often. tongue.gif
Maybe I should start turning it on for all. It''s just quite lazy because some I will need to fax or even walk in to enable it. doh.gif
*
Just email will do, no need to fax or walk in

hmm i did swipe once after that..so it is better to continue for another year since I need to pay the Annual Fee? then before next anniversary cancel it?
*
Check ur last year annual fee charged date, see whether they really charged on same date (i.e. Full 1 year).. Else u can choose to cancel without paying the AF

Was at UOB branch earlier, the bank officer informed that we'd need to re-apply if interested in YOLO, they will not automatically convert the card. She also mentioned that because YOLO was only launched yesterday 10/8, there will be no cash back cap for now, I hope it's true!  rclxms.gif
*
They launched YOLO? Didn't get any info on their website

good find  thumbup.gif
hmm.gif  rclxub.gif

this is one trap to force you to spend more than min rm500.

assuming rm500 online spending = rm30 cb, but you'll lose rm10 cb due to capping at rm20 cb (for spending <RM800).

so, online spending between >rm500 but <rm800 will earn you NOTHING.

this is a good card to complement PBB VS (or for those not eligible to get PBB VS), if you can spend at most RM833 online.
*
Good card only if we can spend 800 to 833 for online spending, 6% cashback.. More than VOX..

QUOTE(kelvintt @ Aug 14 2016, 12:41 PM)
From the T&C, looks like only bill payments to maxis, digi, celcom & umobile are entitled for online cash back. Other bills e.g. TM, TNB, etc. are not entitled.
*
Not sure Posonline still entitled or not..

QUOTE(boonhan @ Aug 14 2016, 01:01 PM)
rm500 spending minimum... and capped 20 for 500. not really worth i guess.
*
If above RM800 only worth using.. Otherwise, still got 4% if spend RM500

if consider pure online spend,
spend 0-500, no cashback
spend 500-799.99, cashback vary from 4% -> 2.5%
spend 800-833.33,  cashback = 6%
spend 833.33 - ??? , cashback from 6% -> 0.00001%
we are restricted to spend 800-833 for this card to maximize the benefits
How is the success rate of the annual fee waive for UOB one.
I do not like to threat by cancelling card.
*
Either spend online at 500 (4%) or 800 - 833.33 (6%).. It is like SCB cashback gold.. To maximize ur cashback, the best is to spend online between 800 to 833.33, else spend RM500 then stop.. This can only be fulfilled if we can use the card at Payonline and Posonline for us to "manage" the amount we want to pay..

For my UOB one card, they straight waive for 3 years when I call up to check my anniversary date.. I think they d know my intention to call, so they straight offer to waive for 3 years without me to ask..

only RM 50.cap ? vox is at RM1000 cap right?
*
VOX also capped at RM50 cashback equivalent to RM1000 online spend..
But YOLO is different spending cap depend on the categories of ur spend, either online or dining. Still it is RM50 cashback..

However why UOB VOX (5% online) over UOB YOLO(6% online) which everyone talks about.

I applied UOB YOLO.

However which platform can pay insurance, streamyx and unifi?

Thanks.

From UOB Vox web:

Enjoy 5% cash rebate

On all your online purchases with a minimum spend of RM50 in a single receipt / transaction.
*For online spend of up to RM1,000 per month. Cash rebates will be credited into your VOX card account by the 30th of the following month and excludes insurance, government, utilities & bill payments only.

Checked for Yolo:

RM500- RM800 only cap RM20.
Above RM800 cap RM50.

12.
The Cash Back under this Programme shall not be awarded for the following transactions:
l) Utilities bills
n) Bill Payments
*
Yeah, both card tnc mentioned no cashback for utilities n bill payments, but we still get that for VOX, I hope they don upgrade their system to identify that for YOLO..

In fact, only spending from RM800-RM833.33 will be 6% (assuming all RM833.33 is online spending). How tricky is it vmad.gif

If Posonline entitled got cashback, then shouldn't be an issue

But it's first come first serve!

This first come first served clause was removed long time ago after they change their cashback tier split into weekday n weekend..
Just that everyone u r capped at RM500 and RM300 petrol spending respectively for platinum and classic card
