Once the hype dies down, it doesn't matter really if it is ori bricks or not. End of the day can get a super large 'Lego' city happy already. Unless you are giving to people, letting your child play or displaying with a LUG, having a replica for display will suffice. It's crazy to spend RM 1800 when can get a replica for RM 400-450. Or RM 800 can get a few modular buildings instead of 1. Take photo post on FB or even here no one can tell the difference unless you mentioned it is a replica.

Then for MOC it is more attractive to buy a replica modular rather than buy bricks from PAB. Case in point, for RM 250 can get a Cafe corner (with 2000+ pieces, lots of windows, and nice bricks) instead of 2 and a half cups of PAB.

I hpe will have sales soon... keep the stock coming.

I hope got sales as well as more promotions, VIP points, free polybags like overseas. Plus Lego trading should stop this low stock, need booking etc nonsense. Lego trading must be feeling the heat already since China brand is eating at their lucrative exclusive set market.

I recently completed a Cafe Corner clone and my goodness.... it is like this clone is an OEM to Lego. shocking.gif I bought it with low expectations and with the expect to have lots of missing pieces but it totally changed my perception of such clones. Everything fit well, the colors of the brick is close to the original Lego brick, there were only ONE missing piece and ONE defective piece. Even the color consistency of the brick is better than Lego (like different shades of grey, like my ori Lego Fire brigade wall, the worst was the Mk2 mobile crane with different shades of yellow).

I attached a photo of it next to my ori Green Grocer and ori Fire Brigade. If I didn't mentioned it is not real Lego you would have thought it is a real Cafe Corner.

Ori price and lipin price?
*
Ori Green Grocer and Fire Brigade retail price I recall was RM 899.00. Ori Brick Bank price is RM 800. The Lepin price is RM 250. So for the price of 1 ori can get 3 sets clones. Not sure the original retail price of Cafe Corner.

I never was able to buy the Cafe Corner since I started collecting modulars too late to buy the Cafe Corner at retail price. By the time I got my Green Grocer it was already RM 1000+. By the time I got my Grand Emporium and Fire Brigade some time later that is when CC has reached ridiculous price.

Now that my Cafe Corner is built, I have to remind myself not to accidentally post my pictures of my modulars with the offending modular in a LUG page or some places which has zero tolerance for clones and get banned in the process. dry.gif
