Anyone knows when will the 2h sets go on sale in Malaysia? I'm looking forward to 42053. Hopefully the days of scalpers are over

Yup. Nowadays very Sian. The reason to quit Lego also will be due to scalpers. When more and more quit, see who they wanna sell to.

Another thing is either our currency so poor, or the sets get so expensive... Or both haha.

Heard that new technic set will release today in local store? Can't wait for the volvo
*
If you heard from me then my apologies. Just dropped in at queensbay Lego store.

The fresh staff didn't know anything about any new set n also didn't manage to find it in their system for price n availability.

And to think I had to take a day off. Well at least my wife also off today.

42053 Lego® Technic Volvo Ew 160E @ RM499.90  shocking.gif  so expensive and no motor  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Considering sets like 42039 which do not have motor its not too expensive with the Pneumatics v2....You get a set of actuators + manual and motorized pumps.

I saw discount for most sets....the problem is shipping not cheap or after added shipping is more expensive than retail lol.

Wanna ask for those who play with motor functions, the motor size M and L is the same? Only the capacity is different?

I'm trying to get a few of my race cars to configure to RC.
*
Motor size M,L,XL is different in performance, ie torque vs speed.

It also depends a lot on how many motors you can fit into your creation.

Hope this is not too much:

What about 8293? I see that those are still available.

Is it sufficient?
*
For sure 8293 and 9398 is eol and very hard to find.

Best bet is 42030 which will donate a great set of RC components. I believe you can still get it for ard rm1k.

If your intention is to RC the mini cooper then just Google it. Pretty sure instructions are freely available everywhere. If you already have the 42030 then you definitely have enough critical parts to RC it.

8293 is a beginner box with just M motor and battery box. No IR, no RC, no servo motor.
You have fancy lights for decoration purpose only.
Also, total cost for parts wise is not cheap.

Full box set is more expensive, e.g. 42030 Volvo. But you get a lot of spare parts and full set motor/controllers.

I have mini cooper and samba van, but not yet build. Going slow on building Lego at the moment. Just finish 42009 and an old 8455 pneumatic backhoe recently. Maybe start to mod 42009.

Buying parts in bulk is cheaper, and can use for multiple projects:

I've not been to any TRU or LCS lately but has anyone seen a 42061 on the shelf ?

I'd like to get one in Penang.
