That's how Lego works in this country. Wait 6-7 months and you should be able to see a steady supply after the hype is gone. Everyone already has their sets and the resellers are done hogging it.
Can't even PO, gotta wait and hope and beg to buy.

Gundam, can PO months before it's out and even get a special PO price. Even if it's normal production kits.

Btw, Empire here left the ones same as IoI city mall. No sign of new X-Wing resistance fighter as well. Did asked before and most likely only restock in July. TRU empire no new things... They'll be milking the whole Ghostbusters train for a while, so you'll find Ecto-1 retire date extended.

They're predicting Ecto-1 will be around for a while even after the movie is out since they want more sales. As for GBHQ, you'll see that for a minimum of another 1.5 years, maybe more. The new Ecto no need to worry, that'll last for a while. Slave 1 should be the next one going to retire, I'd worry about getting that first.

Try TRU on 6th June for the X-Wing. Apparently they have it in their stores waiting to put on the shelves.

WTF, some arsehole stole RM950 worth of LEGO from Toys 'r' Us Fahrenheit. The thief basically ripped open the box and took all the packets inside. He/she left the empty boxes on the self.

Well, this is slightly unexpected news: Adzbadboy in our forums has confirmed that LEGO Minifigures - The DFB Series (German footballers) is seemingly not going to be produced anymore.

We're only about a month into their European release and while we didn't expect much more than a limited run, it's kind of surprising that their time on shelves was so short-lived! Better get the remaining figures you want while you can, unless you are fine with resorting to eBay or Bricklink...

Consider my first LEGO Stop Motion. I did Nanoblock Timelapse and Stop Motion before. Lego is much easier, because of bigger size.

Consider my first LEGO Stop Motion. I did Nanoblock Timelapse and Stop Motion before. Lego is much easier, because of bigger size.

Will try to make more videos if I have more time. Cheers.

So many creator vacation getaway and park figurines sets in Penang. Yet in kl everywhere no stock. What a big location difference.
Still no signs of Porsche and xwing in Penang. Ecto 1 available in queensbay mall.

the fun packs should be fetching around 50-60 per pack from resellers.. retail price if not mistaken is 80 and above. cause they are heavily discounted in US so can get cheaper than rrp..

based on the rrp here...it will certainly not be direct currency exchange rate
you have to factor in the transportation / insurance / custom fees and so on...

and btw...usd $1 = rm 4.10 as of today

my guess will be around RM500 (USD 99 x 5)

by observing the lego price selling in our country, Millenium Falcon - RM750 (USD 149.9), Poe's X-Wing - RM400 (USD 79.9), Ecto-1 - RM250 (USD 49.9), TIE Fighter - RM999 (USD 199.99), Porsche 911 GT3 - RM1500 (USD 299.99)...

Yes, you are right. Our retail here is rm499.90 only.
On looking on the lego pricing trend, it is definitely getting way more expensive than before. Trending now is x5, rather than x4... Blame on our poor currency conversion.

The LEGO Movie 2 Release Date Pushed Back to 2019

Late night news coming out of Deadline.com is that The LEGO Movie 2 has been pushed back to February 2, 2019. This is the second time the sequel to the highly popular movie has been pushed back with the original release date of May 26, 2017, then to May 18, 2018. There was no reason why Warner Bros. decided to move the movie back along with a couple of other ones but we still have The LEGO Batman Movie and the LEGO Ninjago movie to look forward to in 2017.

Maybe not all.. Maybe some really queue to get it. I recall last year when Wall-E was launched (friday) I was there at LCS IOI City mall. I saw on shelves got 6 of it. While i as checking and looking for the right 1, someone there took and took 2, then comeback take another 2. Luckily I am holding 1.. At the end he took 5. LCS should also impose some control where 1 person can only buy 1 since it is so limited stock. Ppl who really wanted it no chance to get it...

We have 6 LCS store... so each LCS gets 5 = 30 boxes already.
LCS Empire told me that the stocks are slow because of KASTAM holding it at the port... LEGO comes via shipping

QUOTE
I shall begin with saying that this will definitely not be the Ninjago we all know and love. However, it will sure be interesting to see further developments of the film and how it turns out in the end.

The voice cast, revealed via some sort of catalog of Warner Bros' upcoming film slate at Licensing Expo 2016, is...

Jackie Chan as Master Wu
Dave Franco as Lloyd
Michael Peña as Kai
Abbi Jacobson as Nya
Kumail Ninjiani as Jay
Zach Woods as Zane
Fred Armisen as Cole
The LEGO Ninjago Movie arrives in theaters on September 22, 2017. Preceding it is The LEGO Batman Movie on February 10, 2017 and following is The LEGO Movie Sequel on February 8, 2019.

Ninjago is the story of six young ninja tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they’re gifted warriors, using their skills and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they’re ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy: high school.

Once the hype dies down, it doesn't matter really if it is ori bricks or not. End of the day can get a super large 'Lego' city happy already. Unless you are giving to people, letting your child play or displaying with a LUG, having a replica for display will suffice. It's crazy to spend RM 1800 when can get a replica for RM 400-450. Or RM 800 can get a few modular buildings instead of 1. Take photo post on FB or even here no one can tell the difference unless you mentioned it is a replica.

Then for MOC it is more attractive to buy a replica modular rather than buy bricks from PAB. Case in point, for RM 250 can get a Cafe corner (with 2000+ pieces, lots of windows, and nice bricks) instead of 2 and a half cups of PAB.

Yup someone shared a block on why he is no longer Lego investor/scalper and the reason are very valid. The exact reason he said about China sets undercutting Lego sets are happening now.
First time I fully support piracy. Rip scalpers.

how many china brands out there?? I always confuse... I got one Ironman minifigure, and the qualities are good. I compare with my other minfigures, really cannot differentiate between the two.

Forgot the brand. Decool?? something like that.

Depending on brand, usually its safe, but for peace of mind, can wash the part 1st before play/build. But nowadays i feel new LEGO set also abit powdery when 1st build. Or is it just me..

sales = bad news for us. this clearly show that they over supply and might cut supplies in future batch. i rather pay at RP without discount than paying scalper price in future.

I hope got sales as well as more promotions, VIP points, free polybags like overseas. Plus Lego trading should stop this low stock, need booking etc nonsense. Lego trading must be feeling the heat already since China brand is eating at their lucrative exclusive set market.

I recently completed a Cafe Corner clone and my goodness.... it is like this clone is an OEM to Lego. shocking.gif I bought it with low expectations and with the expect to have lots of missing pieces but it totally changed my perception of such clones. Everything fit well, the colors of the brick is close to the original Lego brick, there were only ONE missing piece and ONE defective piece. Even the color consistency of the brick is better than Lego (like different shades of grey, like my ori Lego Fire brigade wall, the worst was the Mk2 mobile crane with different shades of yellow).

I attached a photo of it next to my ori Green Grocer and ori Fire Brigade. If I didn't mentioned it is not real Lego you would have thought it is a real Cafe Corner.

Ori Green Grocer and Fire Brigade retail price I recall was RM 899.00. Ori Brick Bank price is RM 800. The Lepin price is RM 250. So for the price of 1 ori can get 3 sets clones. Not sure the original retail price of Cafe Corner.

I never was able to buy the Cafe Corner since I started collecting modulars too late to buy the Cafe Corner at retail price. By the time I got my Green Grocer it was already RM 1000+. By the time I got my Grand Emporium and Fire Brigade some time later that is when CC has reached ridiculous price.

Now that my Cafe Corner is built, I have to remind myself not to accidentally post my pictures of my modulars with the offending modular in a LUG page or some places which has zero tolerance for clones and get banned in the process. dry.gif

Don't worry. U r doing it for the greater good.
These ridiculous prices must stop. Really killing off the original intend of why Lego was created.
Just like property, it's a matter of bubble burst. Same goes to Lego frying price.

this is somewhat true...
i can observe that gbhq was successfully sold at rm1900-2000 by scalpers when it's launched initially...now the fever has gone down the price has reduced as well...

Dear friends,

I have recently completed the VW Camper Van, but realized i misplaced/lost the "VW logo sticker". Any idea where I can buy another "VW logo sticker"? Many thanks!

Hi Ronnie, have you tried it before? I am not sure Lego will actually entertain me. Btw, I asked a friend to buy for me in the US

It is possible. just go to lego website and register for the missing part. u may need to call the number for them to verify that you are genuine missing your part. they do ask a few simple questions but not too much trouble. and no, they didn't ask for the proof of purchase.

my guess is that so long as you are genuine in your claim ie not in the package (just dun so buta buta say I lost it...) then u will get ur part in the mail in about 4 to 5 weeks later. that will mean that u can claim for 99 parts because its just not possible... maybe 1 or 2 from each individual part they will entertain.

I have done for a set which has missing part. it came in the mail about 4 weeks after I placed the call.

hope this helps.

postage will be directly from Denmark. it is FOC. so far I haven't got any missing mail from Lego (I have only done once).

yes it includes any defective parts. I consider those "missing" as well.

like I said, both sides use logics. if its 1 or 2 parts per box, they (lego)understand and usually they will directly send without more questions. but if u abuse it, then its ur own fault ya...

for first time register with lego on missing parts, u will most probably get a mail to say u need to call them. so, u will need to call them to go through a few friendly questions.

hope this helps. go try! u shall do whatever it takes to make ur lego complete!

For the price you pay, that's the type of customer service they offer. I am sure Lego would try their best to replace the parts considering their reputation is worth more than 1 or 2 missing parts or defective parts.

Yes, just don't abuse this kind gesture from Lego! smile.gif

I bought a same design case (not LeLe branded though) for RM50 at GM Klang.
It has the same 3-steps too.
Fixing the cover was a hassle as I was worry the part would crack if I used too much pressure to connect the 5-piece together.

Collector hunts sell at RM200 if I am not mistaken. Many stocks.
I plan to buy, but ended up with the xmas train as my son prefer the train over the gingerbread house.

Just bought my first Nexo Knights set and I'm hooked.

For everyone who keeps asking me to PM the sets... Can you just PM me what sets you want... The problem with everyone who keeps on asking. They keep lowballing the price or just fishing for information sad.gif. I list all of the items and then you say you are not interested. So to save me time to list down all 400+ sets... just tell when what are you looking for via PM. and I'll try my best to answer...

Where to sell online: Post in LYN garage sales, Facebook (just search for Lego sales groups), ebay, mudah, bricklink, etc. There are more people looking to buy Lego there than in this thread. smile.gif

How to sell: You need a list of items you are selling. Price is optional but be prepared to entertain a lot of requests for prices and discounts (this is Malaysia after all smile.gif ). Also, state your dealing method - COD location, and do you offer postage option for outstation buyers?

Tips:
1) Don't tell people that you are quitting for financial reasons and need to let go by August. You're putting yourself at a disadvantage here, as prospective buyers will take advantage and offer lower prices if they feel you are desperate to sell fast.
2) It's normal for buyers and collectors to shop around for best deals. So expect to entertain a lot of inquiries that do no lead to sales.
3) You say you have 400 sets to let go. That is a big collection. Are you planning to sell everything? Some sets will be easier to sell than others - factors to consider are demand, avaialability (is a set hard to find, retired?), and most importantly, your PRICE.
4) Do your research on market prices for each set. There are many sellers nowadays, so you got to price you items competitively against the market price.
5) Consider how much TIME you want to invest in selling - posting items-for-sale online, communicating with prospective buyers (this takes a lot of time, believe me!), closing the deal (arranging for COD, payments, packing and sending off packages at post office).
6) Consider bulk or bundle offers if you really need to let go your entire collection fast. This will save you lots of time but you must be willing to offer greater discounts to encourage collectors to take up the bulk/bundle offer that may include some undesirable sets like Chima, Ninjago, City, etc.

All the best with your sales. I look forward to seeing your sales list too. (Y) biggrin.gif

Thanks Faish... Good tips of the trade...

1) Well in the end it comes down to money (which is financial) But I don't want say what is the real purpose. I get some people want to get free publicity and giving a sad story just to offload lego sets. So let's just say financial reasons
2) Of course, but I also have a base price. Which is good. I don't mind haggling.. But I do mind if they offer below the price seet
3) Im still working out the kinks on what to do and how to do it... was planning to sell from cheapest to expensive. But still looking for outlet.
4) Research is all done... Everything(almost everything) has a bare minimum price
5) Also, will work out the details for that logistics...
6) We have a couple of bulk buyers.... But as we Malaysian love to give low low prices... so what to do...

New set?

QUOTE
LEGO has just published images of two sets that will be released next year to tie in with The LEGO Batman Movie: The Batmobile and Joker’s Notorious Lowrider.

You will find larger images of them both after the break...

760## The Batmobile:

This set includes Batman, Robin, Man-Bat and the Kabuki Twins, a pair of Oriental assassins who were employed by The Penguin in the 2004 animated series: The Batman. Man-Bat looks to be just about identical to the minifigure which appeared in 76011 Man-Bat Attack while Batman features a new belt attachment and Robin wears a brand new hair piece which is completed with a pair of goggles. The Kabuki Twins are an odd inclusion as they have not been seen since the 2004 animated series but it will be interesting to see how they are used in the upcoming film.

user posted image

760## The Joker's Notorious Lowrider:

The Joker's Notorious Lowrider is the smaller of the two sets but is just as impressive. Three minifigures are included and they are all highly detailed, with extremely elaborate hair pieces and printing on the sides of the legs in the case of Batgirl and Harley Quinn. There looks to be some kind of suspension on the underside as a Technic mechanism is visible behind each wheel.

Well I cant compare apple to apple, because I assume you guys are not from JB, but just wanna let you guys know that, here in JB LLM, GBHQ basically just sits there, waiting for buyers. Everytime I went there, there will be stock.
Which I assume, after the castle was launched, maybe in 2 or 3 months, after everyone had grabbed theirs, there will be a lot of stock left, and I can take my own sweet time to grab one (that is, if I'm allowed to grab one).

Hi would like to know if the M-Motor in the 8293 power motor set suitable to drive the ferris wheel? as i heard there's 2 type of motor is it? the recommended one would be the 8883 motor. just wanna ask if it's the same? cause plan to get the 8293 set instead of getting separate 88000 + 8883. thanks bro

i think the motor of 8293 and 8883 is same...
both look same to me laugh.gif

should be no problem to use 8293... since i use the same motor to power 10244 fairground mixer...

i think instruction in ferris wheel do have power function method? it show the M-Motor, right?

the ferris wheel should be only have a space just enough/easy to add on M motor, have to do extra work if u want to put bigger motor tongue.gif

Yup, both written M-Motor which I presume meant "medium" torque or speed. as there's another one which is higher torque/speed i heard which will cause the wheel to turn too fast. just wanna confirm this. as mentioned i wanna save some moolah on buying separately 88000+8883 (as stated in the manual) but getting the set 8293 instead. thanks guys. thumbup.gif

You may check out both First Hobby @ Sg Wang or BOB Mid Valley as I have seen few sets of the 8293 there.

Opss .. never saw this before and thanks for the share.
But seems like the wheel rotating quite fast, is it not? hmm.gif
Ya, realized that 8293 battery set can't fit nicely on the plate.
Only 88000 can. Well, I get what I'm paying tongue.gif

Friend from SG just informed me Metro selling for SGD56.
Sometimes got 20% discount maybe can consider asking him to get for me.

I too tried fitting in my MF inside. But too wide can't fully fitted so scrap the whole idea putting in the Detolf.
Do update us on your finish mod after adding the cake collar.

you can buy those weather proof rubber strip that you can find in Daiso.
You just need to stick on the door panel side. But the hinges side, it's recommended that you stick without the door pre-installed. Those rubber strips are double sided tape and sold in a roll.

I too tried fitting in my MF inside. But too wide can't fully fitted so scrap the whole idea putting in the Detolf.
Do update us on your finish mod after adding the cake collar.
Transparent collar right?  smile.gif

yeah the transparent collar. they call it acetate cake collars. i'm still trying to find from those baking material supply shop. been to one yesterday but shop owner doesn't have them.

QUOTE(raclette @ Jul 26 2016, 09:34 AM)
thats a big ass gap there biggrin.gif i managed to fit MF in one detolf but both mandible need to be detached lols. tried to put slave 1 inside but its a really tight fit as well. wings are pushed against walls and not in correct position ( fly position) maybe need to remove 1 wing.
*
it's 2 inches wide.. sweat.gif
the same gap at the back i just seal with tapes. front need to open / close doors so can't use tapes

Its stated to use 8883 + 88000 as per the instruction.
http://brickset.com/sets/8293-1/Motor-Set
http://brickset.com/sets/8883-1/M-Motor

Both looks to be having the same M-motor I think?
*
QUOTE(stevenycs @ Jul 25 2016, 10:20 PM)
Yup, both written M-Motor which I presume meant "medium" torque or speed. as there's another one which is higher torque/speed i heard which will cause the wheel to turn too fast. just wanna confirm this. as mentioned i wanna save some moolah on buying separately 88000+8883 (as stated in the manual) but getting the set 8293 instead. thanks guys.  thumbup.gif
*
i just check back instruction for my fairground mixer, and it is same 8883 + 88000
but i use M motor from 8293 instead, and no problem at all...

i think should be the same for ferris wheel as well laugh.gif

from the instruction pictures, i can see there's gear reduction for motor, so M Motor should be no problem to turn the big wheel... even no problem for L Motor or XL Motor brows.gif

and it looks like quite easy to put big motor in from the hand crane part...

for the battery box, the 88000 is easy for u to put it in base, but basically it is same with the battery box from 8293... maybe the difference of AAA or AA battery and design/size but both can use with the M Motor or any other motor nicely...

for the battery box from 8293, have to put aside, which may look not so nice overall, or u can add some extra part to make it can put on base...

just found back my old picture of my fairground mixer
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

the RC part is just there for me to control the speed brows.gif

speaking of speed, there's one battery box, similar with 88000, but with speed control build in, so no need to use RC part like what i did...

BTW, normally like this should be a lot of technic sifu here post something tongue.gif
but now it seems only me sad.gif

Thanks a lot bro for the double confirmation. Then I will definitely get this set. Ya I know the 8293 battery box can't really fit nicely on the plate. But I get what I paid. So it's ok. As this set comes wit the two LEDs which can be added to the wheel underneath. Saw the video from SBrick with BT control which totally blows my mind away. But the price a bit steep for the Control module I think USD59.99 excl delivery. But the idea of having a BT control from my iPad/iPhone controlling the speed with the set inside my seal display box blows me away haha! Ok back to work.

Of you got the mixer too. 10000 over bricks not a bad buy.

You have the grand carrousel also? I heard review online that it's very delicate is it? Once completed you can't really move it that much or it will fall apart or something like that. Not sure if the review is right or not n

u mean 1000+ brick laugh.gif is there any single set that have 5 digit amount of bricks hmm.gif
not sure about other theme, but technic so far around 4000 only...

and the grand carousel, u mean 10196?
i do not have this set, i only have 10244 fairground mixer...
what i like 10244 is u can make everything back to truck form and travel around thumbup.gif

the grand carousel i think already not release by lego, so hard to find one...

now to look back, the fairground mixer is my first expert set, probably my biggest non technic set...
or maybe 70403 Dragon Mountain can be my biggest non technic set as well (the dragon is tall tongue.gif )

opss sorry, i think i read the brick count wrongly, i tot its written 10xxx. haha~
that's why i was quite surprised a set has higher brick count than the Taj haha!
Highest brick count holder still goes to 10189 Taj Mahal with 5922 brick .. awesomeness rclxms.gif

my neighbor has one carousel haven't brick yet. maybe i can wait for his review after he brick it.

for me ferris wheel only setback would be the color scheme used on the whole set.
that green and purple? seriously? but critics did mentioned that the year before they launched FW, they came out with the Mixer, hence they do not want to reuse the same color scheme as the Mixer.
So we have some really odd solid colors on the set.

To those who are interested:

BuWizz

It's a combination of battery and receiver, similar to SBrick. Battery is rechargeable.

although it's under kickstarter but the pricing ... USD120 a piece as compared to Sbrick USD59. sweat.gif
buwizz did boost their feature of having able to control 4 motor at the same time while controlling the speed.
thanks for the share bro

Bro straight away go for build in cabinet. I already asking for pricing now after viewing one of my friend's design. Can fit few modular n even the GBHQ n Ferris wheel in there. It's some sort like a book cabinet cum display case.

Cause buying individual custom made case be it glass or acrylic not a long term solution if u have big sets coming all the time. Might as well bleed one shot n do it right.

Billy's bookcase depth tak cukup bro.
And still need to do plastic/acrylic enclosure for it or custom case and put on on each shelves.
After calculating the cost of the box and IKEA, still not worth for long term.
Initially tot just get their shelves and custom case but the cost at the end was rclxub.gif

And still need to do plastic/acrylic enclosure for it or custom case and put on on each shelves.
After calculating the cost of the box and IKEA, still not worth for long term.
Initially tot just get their shelves and custom case but the cost at the end was  rclxub.gif

Not sure if any BIONICLE fans here but its the EOL for them:

QUOTE
LEGO has just announced on its website and Facebook that BIONICLE generation two has come to an end:

THE CONCLUSION OF “THE JOURNEY TO ONE” MARKS THE END FOR LEGO® BIONICLE® GENERATION 2

Fans, today we have to share the news with you that we have made the tough decision to discontinue LEGO® BIONICLE® at the end of 2016. NETFLIX has just started streaming the final two episodes of “The Journey to One” the ending of which will put an end to any speculation about the future of LEGO® BIONICLE®.

With the 2015 relaunch of LEGO® BIONICLE®, we set out to revive a childhood favorite of fans worldwide, and bring it to a new group of children who were too young to have known and played with LEGO® BIONICLE® Generation 1. From your wonderful feedback over the last year, we feel very proud to have performed that task. Currently, the last wave of LEGO® BIONICLE® products is launching in Europe and North America. These products will, however, not reach the shelves in Asia and the Pacific markets.

Next up is the #BIONICLEbuildmakuta Rebrick Contest, starting August 1st, that will give you a chance to compete for some unique prizes. All you have to do is to give us your best shot at the Evil Overlord himself. Through the rest of the year, we will keep sharing artwork and other things that may be of interest to you on LEGO.com/bionicle and facebook.com/LEGOBionicle

On behalf of the LEGO® BIONICLE® team we would like to say that it has been absolutely thrilling to work on a theme that evokes so much interest, dedication and emotion. We would like to thank you for taking in LEGO® BIONICLE® Generation 2 and sharing all your builds, stories, artwork, joy, criticism and praise. By doing so you have not only expanded the universe but also made the amazing BIONICLE® Community even stronger and more amazing. We are confident that you will ensure that BIONICLE® lives on.

The BIONICLE Team

Hi there guys

Need your opinion... Sadly I have to quit LEGO due to financial reasons. So I was wondering which place do I sell the sets.... I have around 400+ which range from Modulars, Creators, Expert, City... Basically all the themes across the board... I need to upload it by end f August and I am looking for outlets

Thanks in advance

This is a purely financial decision, they're concentrating on sets they can make more money from.

And to think I had to take a day off. Well at least my wife also off today.

Considering sets like 42039 which do not have motor its not too expensive with the Pneumatics v2....You get a set of actuators + manual and motorized pumps.
