Got new Toyota Altis, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Perodua Kelisa, Perodua Kancil and also 3 Protons..

i heard that there is new Altis coming soon..is it true?

be more specific? like type of car, budget, make, etc...

I also though of a new corolla altis, but heard sources that it will be launched at 2008 instead. What i know is here are the 2007 car releases:

Proton
-IRW: Savvy sedan with 1.3 campro
-WRM: Gen2 sedan
- waja facelift (possible)

Perodua:
- Viva (kelisa replacement)
- Myvi sports (basically myvi with comestic upgrades)

Nissan
- Tilda (1.5 cc hatchback and sedan to challenge vios)
- new cefiro
- An MPV (cant remember the name)

Toyota
- a new model (could be belta, rumour to replace vios)

Honda
- new CRV (likely after CNY)

That all i can think off

Hopefully we can see new saloon from Proton. we have seen enough of their hatchbacks. They lauched 3 hatchbacks in a row and now it's time for saloon.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage is cool. How 'bout Koenigsegg CCX? Shelby GT500?

New perodua models are comin in this year. I think replacing the Kelisa & Kenari, correct me if i'm wrong.

The New Camry looks cool. The new Accord is comin out soon.

I'm looking for a nomal car under 60k. Guess it has to be Proton or Perodua . When are these models going to launch?

dont have savvy sedan... it is savvy facelift with bodykit. beside that maybe will come out mpv type too but not confirm yet

I think thats what they did with their previous model NEO, we all only heard its a SRM but don't know how it looks like etc...

No they did report it on the edge. But there will also be a savvy facelift to rmeove the ultraman butt at the rear. Thanks for remind me on that.

The IRW will be based from the savvy, but its basically a sedan version of the hatchback savvy. Proton decided to discontinue the aging wira and saga models for 2007. I think they should do it on 1997.

No new Altis will be launched this year... It will be launch next year... this year Toyota will launch a new model but not Corolla...

proton cant make a new car without any spy shot or rumors....sure got.

So till now also dont hav spy shot means they havent do anything yet.

During the Hyundai Sonata 2007 launch recently someone gave said that the replacement models for Accent & Elantra could be unveiled this year.

at press time malaysian hyundai ceo (or some high ranking exec) said so, got ARM & ERM edi waiting to be introduced...

New Honda Stream already available in Malaysia. XD but not that attractive thought. Needs some kit like Ipsum to make it more "man-ly".

Good link. But i guess most of them will never reach Malaysia market. Even if they come here the price will be too high.

Was thinking when Vios will have replacement. Hmm so Belta or Ractic will replace that? I think mostly will be Belta since it does have the Vios looking. Looking forward for that. But i do hope is Ractic.

proton rumours cannot believe... see like savvy... delay until dunno how long only release... but some1 is true about corolla altis.... this year will not release if not mistaken. only US japan and china already release the new corolla..

The FL City just came out so I don't think it will be replaced anytime soon moreover the local Honda factory is too busy with assembling the Civic.

One rumor frm the toyota sales person told me there could be possibility a launch of a manual version of vios in 2007.

manual is fine with me, as long as the selling price can dips below rm60k. in that case, toyota definately put Gen.2 and Waja into a more difficult position

then whats the purpose of buying that car ........... no power, bad safety, and small space just for the toyota badge?

Maybe i can sum up here why:

1. Vios is a good looking car, but not so sure about the stripped down version
2. The buyer must be sick of Proton/Perodua
3. The toyota name brand is very very "strong"
4. Reliable/lGood maintainance - Less headaches.

I just found out there a 1.3 engine for the vios but its for the china and philipines variants. But i quite doubt about they releasing it in Mysia.

according to HQ source.... the vios manual will be come with the replacement model....


won't be that range for the manual and might be more expensive den auto... coz manual might be CBU from thai...

You know lah mitsubishi malaysia, takes ages to bring in their models. After the lancer kind of old already then only they bring in, and nobody buys it coz the hype is over. So expect the new lancer around late this year or 2008 then.

I think it's unlikely that toyota will release a 1.3 model. Perodua (own by toyota) Myvi sales is very good. Why make a model that going to compete with your model.

I hope the new model will cost less than 70K

got myvi sport...i will ask perodua to kau tim everything...that is why i havent modify my car yet...wait for perodua release...

There will be no 1.3cc launch for the new Vios... Manual is one of the variant.... most probably is CKD...

Another model launch which i just remember is the the Suzuki SX4 crossover vehicle. Its is a larger version of a supermini that looks like a SUV. Very likely it will be an auto 2WD version and the price according to Sgpore is nearly a Suzuki Swift.

So expect around 80-90K for this 1.6cc car.

Most likely more expensive, say 100+K since the smaller Swift is already 90K.

Talked to a Proton sales person today.Found out there will be a Proton Gen2 sedan. According to him the front is similar with neo and the rear is still the same except it's a sedan.

Can anyone confirm this?

went to Mitsubishi showroom today for Triton prices, and the saleman bisik to me that Lancer got huge discount of rm15k for non-bodykit version.

with that amount discounted, the car price drop to rm82k+

i was like ->

Gen2 sedan but how come got satria neo number plate?

Not bad, but the rear part is a bit too cluttered. Clean up the bumper and the stripes beneath the Neo rear lights then it'll be sweet.

I think the Gen2 sedan will only be release later of this year. proton already introduced facelifted Savvy and Waja. relasing a new model will kill their own sales.

However you can never predict what Proton marketing strategy. they release new models like Gen 2 but still continue making old model like Wira.

All i know is the new cefiro in China is known as Teana but not sure in Msia they will change the name to Teana or not.

I doubt it would affect the sales of both models. Just like when Wira first launch, the Iswara sales seemed ok back then. Its a high time that they should kill off both iswara & wira which hold absolutely no resale value.

Proton is as predictable as ever. But since they replaced the CEO, (Perodua dude took over Tenku Mahal.......dunno how to spell his name), I would give them time.

the current proton MD is Syed Zainal, and so far i can see his really delivers on saving Proton. His not as arrogant and big mouth as the ex CEO, as his more focus on delivering the product. We all see how he has improved Proton from the new facelifts and lesser problems for Neo n savvy.

We shall c how things goes by end of 2007.

definately photochopped, ull notice the backlights are a combination of proton waja and gen2 and satria neo, its using the satria neo bumper and using the rear view of the current waja, lol, nothing deceives my eye, after all im sure u guys seen my putra neo concept

If our new Cefiro is Teana, Tan Chong better change it for Malaysia New Sentra because Teana Car little like our new Sentra N16 and then Nissan Fuga become our new Cefiro

I saw a new SLK280 in PJ.. This is a new variant to the SLK range. Previously, there were 200, 350 and 55AMG.

if you consider teana as small, what is a big car?
the teana comes with 2.3 till 3.5 litre V6 engine and it's bigger that the perdana.
