Thanks for all the comments and criticism, it will only help me in the long run... Yeah, all using kit lens, no money to buy a 2nd lens... Probably i'll be looking at Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 macro, because macro is a field that i'm very interested at...

What do you guys think???

flash maybe not yet, coz my friend is using 350D as well and he already has a flash and 50mm f1.8. We go outing together quite a lot so its better to buy lenses that my other fren don't have so we can exchange...

Will keep uploading pictures...

Went to a go kart outing today, to test my panning technique, with a kit lens only... cry.gif cry.gif . After a few snaps, I decided to tame the track myself!! 20 minutes for RM55. The feeling? Priceless.

Location is Plus Speedway at Elite Highway.

user posted image
This kid came to the track with his father and other siblings, maybe to show off to his dad what he's made of. Although he spins and gone off-track a few times, you can see his sheer determination to try to tame that little beast, as you can see in this picture..

Nice pic of all....especially the #1 KLCC wan....hehe:) But from what i think is that the theme and feel for each photo must be clear in order to bring out the meaning of what you are shooting at or at least let the subject stand out.....anyway it's a very good attempt..keep it up!!!

After missed out on a very fine day yesterday, I don't want to miss the chance twice. The weather was unexpectedly clear yesterday, leaving the sky waiting to be captured by any lucky chap. Today though, I specifically bring along my kit to work just as preparation to capture a nice sunset near my office. The weather didn't disappoint, and after my working hours (which I went off a bit early) finished, I wander around in my car, looking for a good, if not perfect, spot to capture the sunset. This is what I managed...

This picture was taken at Jalan Beringin, Bukit Damansara overlooking the National Science Center dome on the right

I purposely make it dark, so the silhouette effect becomes stronger.. My setting for this shot was :-

1/50 at f16, Aperture Priority, Focal Length 31mm, ISO 100, Daylight white balance, EV 0

But edited with Digital Photo Professional software that were bundled with the 350D kit. Thanks for the comment

Edit: It was taken at about 6.50pm

I got this shot at a flea market near my office area this evening. Every Friday to Sunday, they're having this sort of flea market going on, just to make things a little bit happening. To add some spice, they'd hire a clown to make things even more happening.

So, a kid and a clown is good subject to focus for, so I stand near the clown for about 20 minutes, waiting for any kid to come and ask for a balloon from her. This kid here is very sporting indeed. Knowing my intention is to shoot her, she just pose there without me asking her to do it, neither do her parents. Instinctive....

April and June means 100% a no-go. Those are motorsports months : The 2007 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix and 2007 Super GT Championship. All motorsports enthusiates and professionals are busy either buying new lenses or using their existing ones, from main day events to roadshow to event promos which will run the entire month.

I suggest you get your own lens bro ... brows.gif

Hmm, are you using DSLR camera? I'm afraid this kind of shot can only be done using DSLR or high-end prosumer cameras. (correct me if i'm wrong).

Anyway, my settings for this shot are:
1. Shutter Priority
2. 30 second shutter speed
3. ISO 100
4. Aperture is automatically set (unless use manual mode), usually between f16-22
5. Use a tripod please.... tongue.gif
6. Use timer or cable release to release the shutter..

hope it helps

What ISO setting did you work on for the Putrajaya shots? The noise is pretty visible.

I can't remember, but i think ISO 100, but this image was edited with PS after shot with RAW.. So, any defects is by myself, not the camera.. tongue.gif

Nah it's not that. Basically I images are overworked on and even in RAW format there're still clippings and loss of details during underexposure. It's the skill you need to improve, not photo touch-ups tongue.gif
