Not anymore, unless there is a GREAT improvement in the standards and quality of local clubs!

But i used to watch Selangor matches with my bro, way back in the 90s... Those were the days when the Reds were the kings of the land, with quality foreigners like Durakovic, Mitchell, and Cristian (the Romanian midfielder) as well as locals like Azman Adnan, K. Sanbagamaran, Asmawi Bakiri, Azlisham Ibrahim, and even Ismail Ibrahim... We even went to the Kelana Jaya FAS Field to take photos with all the players when they won the Malaysia Cup! thumbup.gif

Too bad all these fellows have either retired or relegated to the smaller clubs, these guys were the embodiment of much of Malaysian league footy during those days!

A couple of times but mainly see the National side.

Used to bug my dad to bring me to go see Selangor when I was younger...but he never did..so end up watching on TV only..

Was quite hardcore on the local scene that I even listened to radio commentaries of all the Selangor matches...

Oh it was also because of Selangor that I hate M.Nasir...because TV3 cancelled one of the live matches to show his concert instead tongue.gif

hey, dun judge the league if u havent gone to.
dun hope that over 90% match is exciting ler, if like that we are famous as EPL already, huhu. maybe 60% or so are high quality match. maybe u just not lucky enough not to ever saw it. smile.gif

when it get exciting, it DOES get exciting. its something different when u take sides and go to stadium to see them u know.

If Malaysia playing, I will try to make time for it, but if my state playing, it depends on time permitting...

huhu, i know. tv often highlight like that. i blame the station though, dun know how to filter. tongue.gif. I think they also dun watch, just filter the goals and some tries they can see through fast-forward, hahaha.
cause there is a LOT of aweful time they didnt cover precious moments of driblings and super effective formation, also excellent trough passes and kicks. u're right about the lack of beautiful goals though.

what to expect, the player's rating is so much lower than we use to watch at europe. something to ponder about~ smile.gif. pick a side, enjoy the match. thats all i can say. biggrin.gif

My team is far2 to the north. If they got games around here sure i go see one if im not busy. Dont compared our league games with EPL or you will be disappointed. Put aside all those high expectation and enjoy the games as they are. Its exciting to be inside a stadium watching football matches. Singing, drum beating, and the excitement when goal is scored.

I've had you way of thinking before up to until Perlis vs Kedah final at bukit jalil. I went to the game, the atmosphere was fantastic. It was amazing to be among the fans. But in the end it was sad to see how the fans behave to the players. Throwing bottles and stuff at them.

Perlis are doing great now, so it is only fair the fans are coming back in droves. Very much like Selangor when they won the treble. You'd see a sea of 20-40k reds and yellows at Shah Alam. Add the Indons to that number due to the Bambang and Elie Aboy factor.

Now Selangor are lucky to have about 2000 inside the stadium, at most it is around 500 to 1000 people watching. I know this because I go to almost all selangor's home game, time permitting. But hey what to do, I'm a very passionate Selangor fans, I'd go even tho I know they will serve dross.

I used to go stadium and watch Merdeka Cup and Malaysia Cup long long time ago. I also used to watch KL team play when Fandi Ahmad, Malek Awab, K.Kannan and Dollah Salleh played. It was good football back then. I miss the atmophere created by the fans too.

"Ref kayu", "Ref tak pakai cermin mata kah", "tendang bola, bukan kaki" and lots of vulgar words. I miss it so much. It was so fun back then.

Now... sigh... the quality is so bad that i makes me wanna sleep. Also the bribery thingy. I remember few years back Selangor won the treble or something then next year got relegated. What is this? 10yrs old play football ah!!!

last time when I was kid, I used to follow my dad went to Stadium Merdeka and watch Selangor or KL play cuz that's their home ground last time. Still remember Shebby still playing with KL that time. That time sure full house every week and the fans were super hardcore...now, you give me free I also don't want to go cuz not worth it anymore

QUOTE(D.Ed @ May 10 2007, 06:21 PM)

10yrs old play football ah!!!

if there's matchup between mas and indon, suprisingly indon supporters overflood the stadium...how low can the state of our football go???
