Sorry, I looked and searched, can't seem to locate any earlier answer:

MBB GIA-i, "Rate as declared on maturity date"

Does it mean the rate is only known when you uplift? So perhaps less than 12 months might be better in these volatile times?

Same tax regulations for this type of FD?

If compounded, added to principal, is it about the same as the eFD 2.0 ?

Does it matter? Worst case, fallout from political scandals, would Maybank collapse? If so the whole nation gone already? No matter what, all ringgit will plummet, including 1MDB ASB PIDM principals and principles. Might be a chance with some defensives like hard gold but....
