QUOTE(mamamia @ Jun 16 2016, 08:11 PM) Dunno which version should I check, sorry if I asked the repeated question: may I Know is PBB paying interest if my FD matured on Sunday? Must complain to BNM only get? Or is there any sifu here got their interest once inform to the officer nowadays? My experience is you will only get the interest if you withdraw on the immediate working day which is Monday, but at board rate for those 2 days. Managed to open 4.5%/p.a. FD promo in Affin which was not available 2 weeks ago. Took more than 1 hour coz a lot of people. somemore initial slip wrongly printed 3.7% board rate only. The bank staff said previously only open to selected customer but now open to all until quota filled up. too bad the maturity date falls on a Saturday 1-July-17 and accordingly I will lose 2 days interest as can only withdraw on 3-July-17.

QUOTE(Deal Hunter @ Jul 1 2016, 04:52 PM) Congrats on catching the promo in time and getting 367 days interest. Probably close Hari Raya. Don't worry bro. Affin Bank is one of those decent banks that will pay you 2 more days interest at your placement rate of 4.5%. In general, any placement on a 12 month FD placed on a Friday till end of this year will be uplifted on Monday with extra 2 days involved (unless Monday is a holiday). But make sure you place in a decent bank like Affin Bank and Bank Rakyat to enjoy the extra 2 day bonus interest at the placement rate without any hassle. Hopefully what you say is true so that I will get the extra 1 day interest from Affin. Bank Rakyat will automatically adjust the maturity date to 3-July-2017 so no ambiguity. QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jul 1 2016, 05:47 PM) mind asking which branch? bayan baru in penang.

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jul 26 2016, 05:18 PM) Uplifted 2 MBB GIA-i FD's today. Seems like split into periods of 4% and 3.75% for the interests given. IBFT to CB acct and used cheque to place FD in BR for 4.38%, with monthly interest. Tried to cancel the Ko-op card, was told cannot as it will terminate the online acct. Same as for CIMB. Though some other banks allowed bank cards to be cancelled without affecting online acct. Is there a RM8 annual charge on the Ko-op card?

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jul 28 2016, 12:28 PM) Have to specify upfront to BR if u want the monthly interest (if qualified) during placement. Of course u can go back to them to change it. Really? When I asked the staff to change the 4.38%p.a. FD cert. opened 1 week earlier to monthly interest, she told me that the new FD cert. date will start from that day itself, meaning I lose 1 week interest.. ended up I left it as it is with interest paid out only at maturity.

For Bank Rakyat, I managed to create internet banking without ATM card through the following link: https://www.irakyat.com.my/personal/register/register.doHowever, I was told by the customer service officer that I can't perform fund transfer because I don't have an ATM card. Anyone else facing the same issue? This post has been edited by harmonics3: Aug 9 2016, 01:00 PM
