the beauty was you can withdraw in multiple of RM1k or RM10k (i forget) and leave the balance of the FD intact to receive the FD interest.

something similar to their unfixed deposit program.

for those who are not sure whether they would be utilising their FD or not, i thought it was a pretty okay deal.

Wow, if this is true, it will be good news.. Coz I just called to affin raja Chulan on Thursday, but the staff said only applicable to selected branch.. When they chnsge do to all branch?

Also, may I know affin has any basic account without ATM or without any charges? As I'm not affin bank customer.. If I want to place FD, I must open saving acc first right?

So have to open a CASA also.

First time I come across such withdrawal policy. It is extremely unreasonable and downright stupid unless the offer rate is 5% or higher.

Just to share - called my RM in Alrahji branch - PJ new town,

50k - 4.05%
200k - 4.15%

12 months tenure

Wah...I called yesterday to KFH, they say promo no more liao..quota sudah capai.  I think their branch don't want to do or no "quota" from HQ???

So went to HL "renew" at 4.25% 12 months and CIMB 4.2% 6 months.
BTW the HL one , at first say Islamic FD promo. When FD slip come out it's conventional FD . so tak payah open islamic save acct. Already have a conventional save acct

I was at HLB branch last Friday and upon enquiry, was told that the FD promo for FD-i ends last Friday itself.

Is this 4.15% new?
