If lock up 1000 in stupid SA, then the 4.3% not worth it ler.

EDIT... wait just a second there. maybe worth it wor because monthly interest. and if take pbb 6+6 4.1% for frist 6 mths, the breakeven is 20.5K of principal

Just came back from Hong Leong Bank.
Promo FD 6 months - 4.25%p.a. has ended. Apparently target hit before deadline.

Never place Bangkok Bank b4, what's they promo ??

Still got 4.1, not bad....
If got huge sum, worth the effort to travel down

Their branches also limited. For Penang, only 1 branch in the mainland side, not a single one on the island.

Even Johor has 2 branches, Penang only one. 

In fact, never heard of them until read from here. 

I do noticed some banks procedure are troublesome..or should say is their system. like hong leong and maybank forever slow in everything.

Public bank need customer to fill up forms at customer servce first; but at least they are fast.

edited: ah~i read through the comments and only i understand. Bangkok bank is the best la~took days to open account is unbeatable.
