BySoft FreeRAM is a free memory management program designed for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP. This is done by forcing Windows to remove all the data that is not currently needed from the memory. It frees up ram manually or automatically.
BySoft FreeRAM will show current memory status, CPU usageand memory load graphically.

I just install this software but I didn't feel any different from or before installing this software.Actually how it function anyway?I don't get the idea.tongue.gif

Because each application you opened and close, it will still leave behind some 'rubbish' and it eats up memory.

Try a fresh boot, once your pc start and finish loading all startup applications, take note of how much RAM it uses. After a while of surfing, playing games, use different softwares, then try shutting all of them.

You will notice then the RAM used is much higher compare to a fresh boot windows even if you shut off all the programs.

That's when these application works, it clears it off.


Some RAM savers application allows you to adjust the time interval for it to clear off unused RAM. Before they clear it out, take note of the RAM usage first, then after they clear it, you will notice a slight drop of RAM usage.

It'd be more effective if you had previously opened a lot of programs.
More programs opened/closed = More 'rubbish' leave behind



Anyway, I don't use those programs anymore. Since my PC is usually on 24/7, I reboot it every morning to clear off everything.
