Hope that Umobile could constantly update their map of 4G LTE coverage, if not we don't really know if they are eagerly expanding the network or not...

You gotta check if the signal is bad (one bar or jumping around between 3G and LTE). If it is so, most probably Umobile doesn't do enough to close the gap.

QUOTE(stephantsen @ Jul 24 2016, 07:42 AM) It's a healthy competition, bro. At least Umobile is disrupting and others are thinking to compete for the market. Not unlimited is alright, it's for the fairness for everyone. I don't wish it to be like the telco in Taiwan where everyone offers unlimited data and everyone just suffers from hogged down performance. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jul 26 2016, 05:07 PM) They are mainly relying on Maxis infrastructures and local networking roaming with other network providers. I dont think they are building much infrastructures themselves and hence the poor quality of their network. But then again, when you pay peanuts, you only will get monkeys. I only know if it's its own infrastructure, the speed is good even on 3G. But if it is piggybacking on other telco's infrastructure then it is a bit hard to control on Umobile side. It's more on the partnered telco's quality control issue. |

Any idea if Umobile has 4G network in Batu Pahat? The map does not seem to be changing much since the last time I check it.

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Oct 26 2016, 10:24 AM) There's two possibility if certain area is not covered by 4G LTE right now. Either they had turned on 4G there but not stable enough or they really doesn't have 4G LTE there. It is year 2016 and we are embracing 2017 in a few months time, and 5G is coming much faster than original anticipation, but LTE network of umobile is just taking its own sweet time to expand? Batu Pahat is not very ulu town some more. |
