I am subscribe to UMI20.

Thing is, my UMI is valid until 26/12. it includes data/free calls.

But tried to call out today, but got this auto machine telling me that the line is barred.

How could this be?

UMI free calls only active when ur line is active where it also means UMI data is active even your acc is expired.
So, your line is active or no? blink.gif

Aha, so there are two aspects to this.

1. active line
2. UMI

Seems to me that my line is not active (methink the expiry was 17/12), even though I have subscribed to UMI20 (period 27/11 - 26/12).

So to make it clear;

1. active line - ability to make outgoing calls/send SMS
2. UMI - ability to browse Internet, receive/send WhatsApp texts.

Is my understanding correct?

Sigh, dang it! Thought having UMI would suffice, so have been holding on to buying credits just enough to pay for the UMI thingy only. hahaha.

By the way, prepaid would kena 6% GST (with no rebate) from Jan'17 onwards, right? Any further extensions to this? Hope Govt can do the Ahmad Maslan stint one more time biggrin.gif

during Berjaya credit era easier to get approved, now with Aeon Credit and  JCL Credit slightly harder
mostly basic at least 1.8k ( big company background, for private sector sure get rejected ) and work more than at least 2-3 years

below critirea easily get rejected

1. private sector with 3k below or big company with 1.8k below
2. working experience less than 2 years
3. Military  ( police easier, teachers a lot easier )

actually monthly submission for micro credit only few hundred cases and around 100 + approved, around 30-40% approval rate

You are referring to the uMicroCredit to purchase iPhone? To confirm, does AEON / JCL runs credit check with CCRIS/CTOS?
Actually, there are money to be made in giving out micro credits (as it no different than Personal Loan, which charges +-18% per annum).
Though on the downside is when the debtors default la, haha

mobile virtual number operator

some telco that without own infra networks, renting others network like  Xox tunetalk .... using celcom
friendi buzzme using umobile
happy using digi...
i think they do run credit check with CTOS at least

Anyone can concur with this? I thought they check the salary and call up the office to confirm employment only.
Technically, AEON is not a bank per se, no?

oh, now understand dy the mvno. But what's in it for the customers? wouldn't they be better off subscribing with operators with infra, rather than without?
Hmmm, maybe monthly subscription cheaper?

Sorry, confirm one more time pls.

I am using prepaid UMI20.

If my UMI20 package is still active but line is inactive...
I can still use data (send/receive WhatsApp, browse Internet) right?
