just called UM CS. she said after the validity inactive, both data and call will be barred. so, either she doesn't know what she is talking or this is system glitch.

Besides, the bonus credit reload of 30% for first RM30 top up can only utilise for calling to UM number. and no way to trace this usage.

yes, I particularly asked for the bundled data and she answer firmly, "the UMI30 data and call will be barred after the validity goes inactive". that's why I curious.

anyway, I won't expect much from UM, it's Berjaya. just enjoy it while still can especially the P70 and P98, it's so tempting. Now using prepaid to test the coverage. if I can tolerate the coverage and speed, I'll contact you for mnp

Anyone here having no Internet connection issue while using 4G in UMobile? It's connected in 4G but Internet just can't get through, funny is after I switched manually to 3G then no issue. Moreover, it only happened to selected area.

Simple say, 4G doesn't work in certain but 3G yes.

Have contacted UMobile via email & raised ticket but it seems nobody even care about this.

about UMI after credit expiry:

officially, the story is that everything will be barred

in actual practice, data service does continue (for now)

That day goto Center change immobile sim. If change to nano sim,rm10. But if they cut sim for u., Is foc.

Its not recommended to cut, if stuck inside phone then troublesome later.

certain area 4g got such problem but normally for certain period ( so called upgrade ) sweat.gif

yup totally agree, and the sim card would be spoiled easily too in future

I think the area is on upgrade process.

any kawan here experience bad reception (internet data can't connect) within building with UMOBILE ? i just ported from celcom yesterday. it was all fine with celcom. i'm not sure why r there such great difference. does it have to do with the network frequency Umobile use?

You gotta check if the signal is bad (one bar or jumping around between 3G and LTE). If it is so, most probably Umobile doesn't do enough to close the gap.

Because U Mobile running on 2100MHz for 3G and 2600MHz for LTE compare to Celcom 900/2100MHz for 3G and 1800/2600MHz for LTE. Higher frequency had better network capacity but poorer indoor coverage.

I don't think so. It has been upgraded to 4G at that area for more than half a year. Just 3 months ago this kind of weird things happen, the worst case is UMobile support never bother to reply me on this even I reported this few times.
