I have exactly the same problem. I could not connect to any 4G network although it is available. I went to Umobile in Sunway Pyramid, queue for almost two hours and I was told you need to sent sms with LTE ON to 28118. The reason is LTE is not activated somehow. I learn the hard way. If these information could have given by the dealer that I subscribe this plan, I wouldn't have waster two hours plus of my time on something so simple. bangwall.gif

actually now all new activation should be automatically activated LTE
but maybe some old sim cards still need manually SMS to on it

u should visit here more for more info ma tongue.gif

Umobile is still my favourite Telco, but sometimes they make me crazy.

I just cannot unsubscribe / stop auto renewal for the MB-Day plan.

*118*2*5# brings the result "Sorry, you are not able to stop the auto renewal of the service"

*118*2*4# brings the result "Sorry, you are not able to unsubscribe to this broadband service"

This is a joke! I just have to wait until my credit is finished by getting deducted RM5 every day? The app is also useless and unlike as with Tunetalk you cannot stop the service by sending SMS.

we tried and it works, I am not sure which part went wrong, but ur number is just for data or for calling as well ?

It is for calling and data. Totally normal Umobile Sim I bought a couple of weeks ago and used and topped up with no problems. Unfortunately yesterday I bought this MB-Day plan because I needed fast internet and my free 1 GB was finished.

Im a UM prepaid user. Example if i had balance RM100 and will expire in few days, can i subscribe to UMI plan in order to keep my line activate?

subscribing UMI plan doesnt extend ur validity of ur number, but u may still use the data of UMI plan , but not allowed to call and sms after expired date

Thanks CNY, you have always been very helpful.

It seem not all is activated LTE. The sim card that I get is not old sim card but not sure what happen in between.

And FYI, I have posted here before, Post #527 and nobody answer me cry.gif

That why i sent to umobile center.

someone my case if rather different with yours. mine ady activated with LTE. I have 2 phones, both using UM. my main phone is having a hardtime connecting to LTE, but the other one is able to connect easily. sooo weird!
is that because of the old sim card i used on my main phone? i was thinking to go to TS to chg it ady... but still havent done that yet... hahahha

sometimes different phones got different result too

my redmi note 3 have to choose 4g Only to get stable LTE connection while my girl fren ip6splus got stable 1 at same area cry.gif

hehe u may ask me how to set 4g only ( default setting got PREFER 4g option only )

if I subscribe to UMI30, it come with 30 min call for 30 days. can I still use the 30 mins of call at day 11 to 30?

From day 11 onwards all calls & SMS are barred but the data in the bundle still can be used as usual. Only after reload then can make outgoing calls.
