I really hope maybe Yes could look to purchase U Mobile and merge together since we have to much telco in market which slowly transforming oligopoly market structure into something more of like perfect competition. If competition are too intense, there will be inefficiency and will be a loss for us consumer too.

Prepaid line still active till 8th Dec.
UMI data balance already finished.
Free 1GB high speed internet valid till 16th Dec still remain 1GB unutilised.
Now data usage is deducting from free basic internet. (Slow!) eventhough phone shows 4G full bar.

What are the possible reasons blocking my line from utilizing the free 1GB high speed internet ?
Already called CS, tried many trouble shootings and even unsubscribed the UMI but still can't used the free 1GB high speed internet.

No network upgrade for umoile. New spectrum bring in new coverage and new user. Get ready for extra network congestion .

Yes speed and stability is bloody awesome. Even jungle i can get stream youtube without lag just cons as you said coverage sux at least webe no 4G can switch to 3G or 2G while YES no line.

There is potential for YES to outbeat other telco

Well, if U Mobile's spectrum availability is on par with other telcos, then how would U Mobile gets congested since there are more users on other telcos such as Celcom(11k), Maxis(11k) and so on?

other telco also not that good but if you say 4G coverage. Yes beat hell of most of this telco because as i said most place it depends on 4G.

Most other telco i have maxis and umobile they only switch to H+

Who said iPhone 5 unable to get connected to U Mobile's LTE. So far they already rolled out Band 3 in Kota Belud and rolling out nationwide before 1 July 2017.

We'll that's for your area, I do see the potential of yes 4g lte as the speed is quite fast but it's spotty coverage makes it more like a secondary phone number but for pj, places like 1 utama, Ipc,ikea, yes 4g lte isn't good sometimes it shows emergency call only( 1 utama shows emergency call only most of the time)

They are rolling out band 3(lte)? I didn't heard about it, living in pj so I'll guess I'll stuck with 3g till July 2017 then

They already obtained license for Band 3 and rolling out must complete before 1 July 2017 as per MCMC instruction. So there's chances you will be getting it earlier.
