Now LTE @ Genting
Last time I port out from UM because Genting has no 3G, it was 1 or 2 years ago. Ported to hotlink 2 months cannot tahan cause network really not stable and congested that time and calling freaking expensive. Then moved to xpax with burung hantu cheaper than hotlink but calling rate UM still the best. Until this year UM built 3G tower here and I decided to use back again (burung hantu no longer worth and calling rate doubled up). Now thinking to cut Yes broadband (contract ends) and looking for cheaper broadband/internet. No doubt Yes has stable network but since telco's fight recently I could look for cheaper solution. Saw Digi prepaid broadband has good deal until read their T&C. So I think to get UM to replace my current Yes (already using UMI30). But one thing is LTE has 17-23+ Mbps here tested with speedtest.
Fast.com tested only 1.7Mbps on both 3G and 4G.

Do UM has real 4G? I mean not LTE.

Wow they finally added this unlimited streaming on spotify. Got one of my biggest concern fixed on why they can give unlimited streaming on youtube but not music.

How come my P50 doesn't have the unlimited shown in the app?

Hi, im thinking switching to umobile pospaid broadband. Is the data give better mileage?

Currently using Yes4g, with 10GB monthly rm68
I can say Yes data is expensive, 10GB is actually very fast deplete. An average use about 3 hours per night can drain 2-3gb, which I only use normal surf, some utube, forums, FB. Absolutely no gaming, or heavy downloads.
Plus recently yes making a stupid decisions, to give new customer for 16gb and no upgrade for existing customer. Same charge rm68 but different data? Stupid Yes.

So is it good swap to Umobile broadband? should use 4Gmifi or 21mbpsmifi?

I think that one is business line.. Otherwise already reach credit limit.
Cannot say hardworking pay the bill, is consider pay "on-time".
But pay "on-time", no much benefit to us..

Unless something big surprise to you (e.g free additional 1 or 2GB data), sure will pay "on time".

As long as you "over"due = not on time... That is what I know.
Sorry for my noob..   I won't use postpaid, only rich people will take for postpaid plan...

I really hope maybe Yes could look to purchase U Mobile and merge together since we have to much telco in market which slowly transforming oligopoly market structure into something more of like perfect competition. If competition are too intense, there will be inefficiency and will be a loss for us consumer too.

We'll that's for your area, I do see the potential of yes 4g lte as the speed is quite fast but it's spotty coverage makes it more like a secondary phone number but for pj, places like 1 utama, Ipc,ikea, yes 4g lte isn't good sometimes it shows emergency call only( 1 utama shows emergency call only most of the time)

Thinking of switching to U28 but i have a few questions:
1) how is the coverage in Ipoh and maybe KL area?
2) is the music-onz and video-onz free for life or just an ongoing promotion

normally is around 10-30 mbps... i experienced max 40mbps in my area.. but seldom. what i suggest is buy a lte mifi instead of 3G.. umobile 3G is very slow

Depends on situation .
How long has the number expired.. If within 3 months period, got some chance to get.. More than that. Good luck..
