Now LTE @ Genting smile.gif
Last time I port out from UM because Genting has no 3G, it was 1 or 2 years ago. Ported to hotlink 2 months cannot tahan cause network really not stable and congested that time and calling freaking expensive. Then moved to xpax with burung hantu cheaper than hotlink but calling rate UM still the best. Until this year UM built 3G tower here and I decided to use back again (burung hantu no longer worth and calling rate doubled up). Now thinking to cut Yes broadband (contract ends) and looking for cheaper broadband/internet. No doubt Yes has stable network but since telco's fight recently I could look for cheaper solution. Saw Digi prepaid broadband has good deal until read their T&C. So I think to get UM to replace my current Yes (already using UMI30). But one thing is LTE has 17-23+ Mbps here tested with speedtest. sad.gif
Fast.com tested only 1.7Mbps on both 3G and 4G.

Do UM has real 4G? I mean not LTE.
*
if you want stable broadband stay with Yes 4G.

I have yes 4g broadband + yes 4g lte + umobile P70 + hotlink HYC from maxis.

to tell you the truth umobile have coverage better than all but stability like shit while my yes 4g broadband speed test show 4mbps or lesser streaming video and loading website lagless even 1 bar.

but for 4G lte you need at least 3 bars to be stable.

Umobile is shit i got 15gb data but cannot finish not because too much but very unstable most of the time keep switching to R to E to H+ or suddenly no data or suddenly data symbol gone but signal okay. or sometimes load video keep buffering . umobile indeed cheap but if you have the patience worth it if not it can be an annoyance

so i suggest you buy umobile to test first before porting out.

webe is unlimited but everything have limit or speed cap.[CODE]

Wow they finally added this unlimited streaming on spotify. Got one of my biggest concern fixed on why they can give unlimited streaming on youtube but not music.

How come my P50 doesn't have the unlimited shown in the app?

Hi, im thinking switching to umobile pospaid broadband. Is the data give better mileage?

Currently using Yes4g, with 10GB monthly rm68
I can say Yes data is expensive, 10GB is actually very fast deplete. An average use about 3 hours per night can drain 2-3gb, which I only use normal surf, some utube, forums, FB. Absolutely no gaming, or heavy downloads.
Plus recently yes making a stupid decisions, to give new customer for 16gb and no upgrade for existing customer. Same charge rm68 but different data? Stupid Yes.

So is it good swap to Umobile broadband? should use 4Gmifi or 21mbpsmifi?
*
nope please stay with yes 4g. i am replying based on owning Yes 4g broadband 16gb + yes 4G LTE 8gb + umobile p70 + hotlink hyc user.

stability umobile no match with yes 4g at all. i got 15gb umobile data alot left over because it keep lose signal or data and youtube video always buffer at night when u need it sometimes show E or data logo gone missing

I think that one is business line.. Otherwise already reach credit limit.
Cannot say hardworking pay the bill, is consider pay "on-time".
But pay "on-time", no much benefit to us..

Unless something big surprise to you (e.g free additional 1 or 2GB data), sure will pay "on time".
*
not yet due means not on time? u guys never use postpaid before

As long as you "over"due = not on time... That is what I know. laugh.gif
Sorry for my noob.. sweat.gif  I won't use postpaid, only rich people will take for postpaid plan... whistling.gif
*
it depends postpaid is for convenient . i set auto debit get discount and i get more value vs prepaid i think is wise so indirectly prepaid users are richer they pay more in usage but reload less and i havent go into the hassle to reload

Webe's tethering charge is such a turnoff. I am considering maxis MOP98 or Digi 80.
*
there are offering unlimited that no telco can. So if they offer tethering for free then people will abuse it from 10 ppl in a house will share 1 plan instead 10ppl should get 10 lines.

If you take the effort to read hotlink website

Free streaming video and music makes hell a difference.

future of umobile depending on how they decide here. If follow maxis style they might lose more customers.

I really hope maybe Yes could look to purchase U Mobile and merge together since we have to much telco in market which slowly transforming oligopoly market structure into something more of like perfect competition. If competition are too intense, there will be inefficiency and will be a loss for us consumer too.
*
Yes speed and stability is bloody awesome. Even jungle i can get stream youtube without lag just cons as you said coverage sux at least webe no 4G can switch to 3G or 2G while YES no line.

There is potential for YES to outbeat other telco

other telco also not that good but if you say 4G coverage. Yes beat hell of most of this telco because as i said most place it depends on 4G.

Most other telco i have maxis and umobile they only switch to H+

We'll that's for your area, I do see the potential of yes 4g lte as the speed is quite fast but it's spotty coverage makes it more like a secondary phone number but for pj, places like 1 utama, Ipc,ikea, yes 4g lte isn't good sometimes it shows emergency call only( 1 utama shows emergency call only most of the time)
*
maybe u seldom travel, try travel more and u know how important 4g availability is. i travel kl and karak nearly every day previously i rely solely to yes 4g broadband better than maxis and umobile.

correction i am holding a yes 4g lte and yes broadband its not that bad. Most city area have coverage but just some blind spots no signal.

i am currently using yes as my main line and secondary maxis. in city its good but out of city yes has too many blind spots

Thinking of switching to U28 but i have a few questions:
1) how is the coverage in Ipoh and maybe KL area?
2) is the music-onz and video-onz free for life or just an ongoing promotion
*
coverage is good just stability sux for now

all this music-onz and video onz extended to 31 dec 2017 means they can remove it at anytime or last to the due date but u are contract free enjoy while it last

Guys, need ya help.

Give me some suggestions regarding U Mobile's  website and app so that I can make requests about it to U Mobile website & app department. Don't forget to elaborate and explain why it is important to apply that changes.  smile.gif
*
the menu on website is bloody confusing.

1. When u press prepaid, postpaid it gives a bloody long list to read on the menu. Should learn like celcom clean and neat .
https://www.celcom.com.my/personal

APP
1. The pin generated send to u is also annoying. Please allow us to set our own password. If forget password request us to recreate rather than random pin number

2. STOP showing us the amount due and payment due date. You can put a reminder but we dont need to SEE it everyday on every SINGLE TIME WE OPEN THE APP. WE DONT PAY EVERYDAY.

3. The advertisement also please dont show it everytime. You can pop up when we enter the app and allow us to silent it for a duration like 1 week and 2 weeks

4. The data stats are confusing
Kindly show how much data i have and how much remaining i have and not only balance. Do like Yes 4G
