i'm wondering whether can do like this:

subscribe U28 and use up 3GB on the first day then call 1318 change plan to P98 and use up the 30GB in 9 days, then go to times square downgrade plan back to U28 and continue the cycle, so within 30 days we will have 99GB but only need to pay (28/30+98/30*9)*3 = RM91 or even less if you switch between U28 and P50 but you would need to travel frequently. For those who work at times square can even switch between U28 and prepaid everyday and pay just RM28 for 99GB per month~
*
yearly maximum 3 times of convert of plan
this rule just started since introduce of P98 tongue.gif

and customer who port out from umobile then port in back within 6 months dealer like us get 0 commission and can't offer discount too cry.gif

umobile getting smarter and start restricting us from lots of advantages bangwall.gif

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Sep 19 2016, 07:08 PM)
Erm, I don't think so, cos I want to change postpaid to prepaid anytime I want, there is no contract in forcing us for 3 times only per year, we can sue them thru mcmc
*
hmm, there are 3 times of convert of plan allow from our dealer system only since p98 launched, means they already noted this issue
upgrade from lower package to higher package they would charge the difference of advance deposit
while u made the payment and then downgrade to lower package, not sure if any billing issue occur.
if you try to convert plan again without making full payment of the difference of advance deposit, they may refuse to do so unless outstanding is cleared ( in fact that is advance deposit, not outstanding)
technically your method should be working, but unknown billing issues might take considered as well, you know they take very long time for investigation

QUOTE(scorgio @ Sep 19 2016, 10:39 PM)
Convert from prepaid to postpaid will need to pay stamp duty, as u're committing to a contract.
A change of plan, u'll need to pay for usage (of ur current plan) until the point of switching, then pay advance access fee for the plan u're switching over to.
Next, every plan change, ur account settings will be reset to default. Means u'll be subscribed to paper itemised billing & no international roaming.
*
yup prepaid to postpaid need to pay stamp duty, convert of postpaid plan then not necessary

QUOTE(wtw0911 @ Sep 19 2016, 10:42 PM)
I just changed my plan two days ago at times square and the person told me that I will have to pay the RM10 stamp duty again and also the deposit (they called it the advance access fee) for the plan I am switching to  icon_rolleyes.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
only difference of deposit is charged if you convert from postpaid to postpaid
RM 10 is charged from prepaid to postpaid

i think no one will do such thing unless he/she really data hungry and not worry about the parking fee and petrol to times square or work at there, else u mobile might implement pro rated for data quota as well~ anyway i have just changed my old plan U58 to U28 after 2 years of suffering for a free phone and average i'm just paying for RM45 for 5GB for this month~
*
haha another issue is , after a long queue, u submitted the request to change of plan, BUT there is a chance they are not following it at all tongue.gif

Just signed up for P98 package today. Utterly disappointed totally useless. It is the same as using my celcom basic 38 AFTER quota finished. Turtle speed 😤
*
u use it inside MIFI ? get 3g connection or 2g ?

try find different spot in your house to get strongest connection, umobile got poor indoor network

QUOTE(KonKam @ Sep 22 2016, 07:17 AM)
you have pointed out "turtle speed' after finish quota 30GB...right?
it is norm for every telco after finish data.

the main questions here is how the speed during when quota still available?
and also the VideOnz which is unlimited?
*
i guess he means the Current speed = throttle speed of celcom basic 38

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Sep 22 2016, 08:52 AM)
Yes, I agree for this statement.
Currently only maxis/Hotlink and Webe has available for TriSIM one.

Since maxis and Webe can implement this, why other telco such as U Mobile, DG and Celcom cannot implement this?
This will save cost and time, not need keep replacement SIMcard between nano SIM and mini/micro SIM.

I think now other telco think that replacement SIMcard also can gain some profit, so don't use TRI-cut form of SIMcard. shakehead.gif
Some-more replacement of nanoSIM card not cheap at all, cost around RM20-25 (if I'm not wrong). puke.gif

I believe nowadays this nanoSIM cost not so expensive at all already. If around RM3 ~ RM10 max, that should be acceptable for us.. (Assuming this original produce SIM cost with high MOQ each only RM1)
*
hmm probably need to finished their current stocks first

Tried it on a 4G LTE mobifi, works perfectly.

I understand that subscribing to P98 plan requires a one month deposit.

What will happen to this deposit if say I port out to another telco? And how do I claim back my deposit once I ported out?
*
better u owe them than they owe u, meaning u terminate/ port out during end of month, so ur deposit just enough of slightly not sufficient to settle latest bill, so u just need to pay the balance rather than wait them refund within 3-6 months

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Oct 5 2016, 12:26 PM)
They will calculate the current month usage and deduct the advance payment, after they will send the cheque to u. If no news within 2 months, then complain to them
*
my expierence 3-6months, because once u terminated, the next month bill still showing outstanding bill, the following month bill only shows the - of deposit payment, minimum amount i ever receive is RM 6

QUOTE(giftfre @ Oct 5 2016, 07:35 PM)
Hi, what should do if a supplement line want to port out from Digi to Umobile?
*
u must separte ur digi supp line into single main line first ( prepaid, then u have to wait 1 month only can port out )
(postpaid then can port out anytime)

or

port all main and supp line together into Umobile, may enjoy discount doing thru my service biggrin.gif

UMOBILE's offering for iPhone 7 and 7 plus looks complicated and confusing to me. Not as straightforward as MAXIS, CELCOM & DIGI. Anyone can enlighten me/ simplify it?
*
to make u clear with the price

cash / Epp ( easy payment plan 0% 1year /2 year with credit card ) / UMC amount ( u micro credit loan 12/24/30/36 months available with Interest ) price as below

iphone 7
32 - 2925.6 ( probably u see the price @ i40 @ 2520 , but then u will notice an upfront 240 down there , so sum it up and plus 6% gst is the final amount)
128 - 3376.1
256 - 3826.6

7+
32 3455.6
128 3906.1
256 4356.6

when u see the lower price with i60 i90 i130 because their upfront is higher, sum it up still JUST SAME AS above price

only way to get the phone with lowyat FIRST PAYMENT = getting it with EPP with 2 years contract
but then u got no rebate of the upfront, so this method is strictly not recommended

example
getting iphone 7 32gb with normal EPP I40
= 2925.6 /24 + (40-10rebate)1.06 = RM 153.7

but without contract and without upfront payment result would be
= ( 2520 / 24 + 40 ) 1.06 = 153.7

exactly same amount, so why bound with the contract while u save for nothing tongue.gif

if any 1 interested on this phone may order and come to take at my place exactly same price as any other umobile outlet, since there is no contract therefore i got no commission while u all decide to take the phone and cancel the plan, so there is no special discount tongue.gif just to hit target only
