I'm using note 4, btw is this *118#7?
*
Are you using prepaid or postpaid? If prepaid, dial *118*6*6#. Postpaid, dial *118*7*4#. Look closely where to place * and #. The placement is important, it is not *118#7 as you typed.

Hey guys, I am a P70 user and I have a question regarding the bill amount that I recently received. Although the invoice period is from 1/5/2016 - 31/5/2016, but the montly charges for 1/06/2016-30/06/2016 were included inside the bill.

My question is u mobile double charging me?
P/s: i have the same problem when I was using my U28,the charges for 01/03/2016-31/03/2016 both included in February and March bill.
*
Not double charge, but advance fee/deposit. Is use to cover ur last bill if u terminate or port out form umobile.

You are advised to top up before you travel. However, you can still perform top up with your top up voucher even when you are roaming.

At the same time, you may also use our online banking channels to top up while roaming.

OR

u can whatsapp me to topup, but dunknow work anot,

if work topup with me while roaming, got discount brows.gif

U-Mobile cheap they say. U-Mobile good they say.

TL;DR: I’ve heard more stories about Maxis with better customer services and compassion than U-Mobile.

Introduction (skip to body for the interesting bits)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Body
I am using a 2013 Moto G as the second phone while in Singapore.
For some reason, even though I switched off data roaming and even data usage, the phone actually uses a very small amount of data for whatever reason.

And even for that small amount of data use, I was charged RM10 each day for it (U Data Roam 10).
How small is the small amount of data ? You be the judge

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

RM50 for 0.041MB (according to the bill)
(RM10 for 0.000MB used rclxms.gif)

So, seeing that, I emailed U-Mobile to see if they can help me. Maybe waive it for me, due to hardware problem and me being not aware.

I basically told them "Look, I know its partly my hardware's fault. Since then I manually chose to connect to Singtel (data roaming is unavailable with Singtel) even though of your higher call rates with Singtel. And from now, if there are any more roaming charges incurred, I will pay for it. Just please waive the RM50 for when I was still figuring what was happening. Check your backend and you can probably see that I did not even use 1MB of data while roaming."

In short, after a month of back and forth of emails, their answer is “we regret to inform you as the charges are valid and we are unable to waive the amount”.

I have seen cases where even Maxis (after the fiasco) waived RM600 worth of daily RM38 because the user was not aware that voicemail will also incur charges.

So no, U-Mobile is not better than its competitors. If anything, because they are offering cheap prices, they are more cutthroat.
And at least for the first 2 months, I'm paying more than if I had stayed with Maxis. confused.gif

Bonus
More complaints but still facts:
In a restaurant in Kuchai Lama, there is no network coverage for U-Mobile; but Maxis (my old line) and Celcom (my parents’) has decent coverage.
Maxis' customer service always sounded happy to help (although I know its just their job); U-Mobile's sounded like "please kill me now, why are you still talking to me"

Had a fiasco during online purchase of sim card. The payment went through but on U Mobile end it wasn't detectable. So I had to call the operator for help.

To be fair to them, I think there might be a problem with my phone.

BUT then again, before I started working in Singapore and came here with roaming turned off on my Maxis number with the same phone, I never had such a problem.
So it could be on their end too.

I just thought they would show more compassion this time around because its a first for me. I even offered that, moving forward if there was such a charge again, I'd bear the cost.

But no.... they must have that RM50 for 0.041MB used rclxms.gif

to be fair to consumers, they should at least allow disabling data roaming from telco end.

there are too many ways you can get charged for data roaming based on the combination of host telco, phone, roaming network.
you may be lucky with your maxis number in singapore but many others were not.

malaysian telcos are also notorious for their voicemail service. the telco will remember the last location your number was switched on. then any incoming calls that are redirected to your voicemail will be charged IDD rates to that country if the last location was overseas. imagine you went to japan, turned on your phone briefly to receive tac, then off your phone and landed at klia and before you got the chance to turn on the phone, you got missed calls...and *bingo* you would get IDD charges for calls to japan smile.gif

and there is absolutely no reason for them to charge IDD rates as the calls go directly into their system and dont traverse any overseas network.

hi...i want to ask...

im currently using u28 postpaid.
I'd like to upgrade to p70 hero plan.

Question: how to do it?

Apparently the service center in my area, the boss went out, and the employee don't know how to do it.

I'd like to ask if there's any alternative.

Thank you icon_question.gif smile.gif

Try call to upgrade.
Btw, anyone know how to do port forwarding on U Mobile? Need IT expert from U Mobile as their customer service just give me an answer "We are regret that we are unable to provide the service..."
This is unacceptable as Maxis and other Telco was able to assist the customer to open port for CCTV/alarm etc.

Just call, no need service center to upgrade.

Beware though, I was told 24 hours but in the end took more than 4 days (including weekend, so actually 2 working days).

Hi guys. Was thinking to subscribe UD95 with Note 5. So I have questions.

QUOTE
* Upfront payment waiver is applicable to customers who purchase the phone via credit card and subscribes to auto debit for monthly access fee
Non-eligible customers are required to pay an upfront payment of RM360(UD65 – RM15 x 24 months), RM600 (UD95 - RM25 x 24 months) or RM960 (UD135 – RM40 x 24 months)
For this, since I dont have credit card, I need to pay RM600 upon registration?

QUOTE
*Pay subsidised phone price upon registation
*Purchase with credit card & subscribe to auto-debit for monthly fee
Is this the same as what I need to pay as above?

What I want to know is actually how much cash I need to bring during registration. Was it RM600+phone price?
Thanks!
