Topik hangat di pertengahan tahun ni !! heheh, biasakan dengar fresh graduate pemalas dan memilih kerja, sebab tu pungkok tu dah mula meleper. kenapa aku cakap macam ni? sebab masa perjumpaan agung dengan kengkawan aku, mostly masih lagi jadi penganggur lagi...dorang ni lemon2 yang dah dapat tawaran kerja, tapi tak nak bekerja sebab

1. Gaji x sampai 2k
2. Kerja ade shift
3. Jauh dengan rumah
4. Nak kerja office hour

dah kau tu baru fresshhhieee nak demand tinggi nohhhh...dorang tak kisah sebab mak pak dorang ade lagi, huh lain la macam aku ni, family bukan la kaya mana, nak kene cari duit sendiri,

back to my story, mostly la dorang nak kerja yang senang2, contoh, susun file, buat kopi pegi kursus jenjalan..hahaha tu je yang dorang nak tapi demand gaji tinggi..

macam aku sekarang ni dh kerja laaa, alhamdulillah kerja kat company GLC jugak la...bila cerita pengalaman aku bekerja, kene maki, buat report bertimbun semua, mereka lagi malas nk kerja hahaha tapi dorang nak duit gak..

macam mana la dorang ni, ade gak bagi suggestion buat bisnes online...lagi merapu dorang mencarut..hahaha bila aku tawar dorang kerja kat tempat aku, tak nak..sebab SUSAH..hahaha kalau macam tu perah susu jelah jual kat kedai..hehehe

Fresh grad macam ni ramai ke dak ye?? hahah harus ramai..

kedai makan melayu offer RM20 sehari jadik waiter. kerja 10AM-10PM. Tak baloi langsung.

Before memilih make sure u got multiple choice edi. If memilih but no choice tak guna jugak..

this 1 might be a concern also....not every fresh grad have their own transport....but if the working place is reachable by using LRT or bus.....I believe fresh grad will accept the job offer too!

Aku tak kisah kerja shift ke apa but now aku nak blah dari current company aku

Management macam shit, office politics mengalahkan politik Malaysia, best of all, CEO and Director komplot sama2 untuk push some of their staff to resign

This year alone got 6 people resign lol

5 tahun lepas aku start kerja dengan gaji 1.9k for six month, takda shift, xda claim mileage tp travel a lots and kerja ikut office hour

Rasa Fresh grad perlu cari pengalaman dulu laaaa...tak kan la keje terus nak gaji segedebuk 2.5k ye dakkk..hahahahah macam aku dulu kerja pertama bertahan 3 bulan je..sebab bos tak bagi gaji..tapi pengalaman perghhhh dah boleh jadi senior kott..semua keje lab aku buat..hahaha kerja kedua dalam 5 bulan lepas tu diberhentikan...sebab kemelesetan ekonomi..hahah then kerja ketiga ni...alhamdulillah dah 3 bulan...dapat status permenen dah...heheh rezeki

Betul tu, first job kalau bukan 5k, 9.30-4.30 lunch 2 hours, corner office with window, jangan ambil.

I live in Klang. Many job is in the middle of KL.

Nak berulang alik jauh, nak sewa, I can't imagine the rent cost.

Itu sbb ak cakap, kompeni kat malaysia ni sampah. Nak untung lebih, kebajikan kerja jarang pikir. Ko igt kompeni rugi naikkan gaji ko? Boss skali buka botol arak dia ajer dah 1k++. Boo tow lar kalo cakap naik gaji pekerja syarikat tak buat untung.

applying almost every job ad that have keyword 'fresh graduate'
they called and I refused because its JD not suitable (eg not my field, conman company, rude interviewer)

rude interviewer also I kena before. Really pissed off.

do not be too picky when finding 1st job. i started working 4 years ago, far away from home (different state) with 2k salary but only tahan 2 months haha. later found a job in KL with 2.2k salary, tahan 9 months. then got lucky a bit, got a job 3.5k salary, tahan 1 year after bonus i jump again haha. so better get one job, then jump around lah to get your financial needs satisfied.

I experienced alot of time, and the most regret one I went interview at Cyberjaya. Waste my fuel

kena once, i got time off from work to go to this particular interview.
when i arrive, they say the interview stuck in traffic.
waited for 30mins
during interview play phone call ppl play fb.

I have similar experience dealing with fresh grads these days. And I am not the only one.

Funny thing is, they don't share the same sentiment. It is an interesting issue, but I believe mainly stem from the Gen y/z upbringing where life is cozy, parents take care (and are rich/well do to), and they feel very deserving/entitled cause that is what people tell these kids to 'empower' them. Things like, do what you want, be who you are meant to be, ya da ya da. Not saying it is bad advise, but it seems to be breeding weak and picky/choosy grads.

But its good though. Survival of the fittest. People like these will allow the more talented people to shine and demand higher pay.

the factor that will affect me is
1. jauh dari rumah
2. Gaji rendah tp office hours panjang sampai ganggu hujung minggu.
3. Gaji rendah tp beri kerja macam kita engineer.
4. Gaji rendah tp kena travel merata tanpa mileage claim.

no 1 is because i have my own home, so it would be stupid of me to take work at another place that is so far away that make renting a viable option. No 2 and 3 is because when you pay me minimum wage, i do minimum work. No 4 is because when your travel cost is more than your wage, its prove the company is just milking you.

The thing is not wat company can offer you but what you can offer to the company

during my freshie day, i got offered 2k by local company at jalan gasing there (i stay in kajang btw). lucky i memilih then got offered 3k by mnc lol. lucky i not like ts

Then your team is not communicating well which is the team leader fault.

In my case, attitude issue. In the end, i replaced 70% of my local staff with foreigners. Puas hati, not many headache now.

my opinion:

choose the job that you can get, then slowly choose the job that have potential

some people can afford starbucks everyday, I drink once a year enough already.

Nowadays salary really that low? so sad

well,...every1 also used to be fresh grad before.....when I was fresh grad....Im concern about the location 1st then only salary.

If the location is a bit far from my home but if the salary offered can cover the cost...Im ok

this type of comment actually anecdotal which is cannot be taken as an argument. When you see one or two freshie using iphone or drinking starbucks, you cannot say the majority is like that.

The majority is actually catu makan, makan tempat best hanya when occasion peting.

first job,korean small comp, pay rm2000, kena fired after 2 days, LOL

second job, MNC, comp quite big, pay rm2100, kena retrenched after 8 months

third n current job, MNC, big comp, pay rm2800, contract, I like it..boss ok, management ok, work also ok, but downside is, cannot learn anything new...sigh*

Just a suggestion, fresh graduate that interested with financial/banking industry may apply the FSTEP (Financial Talent Enrichment Program) under BNM..the trainee will be train in the classroom for 6 months and sent to do the internship for 6 months at commercial bank that sponsored them with monthly allowance of rm 2200 (rate in 2011, maybe now more than this amount)

I had a colleague who used to teach tuition in KL. Traveled back from Penang weekly. Think he earned about 1000 extra a month. That was like 13 years ago.

I guess he probably built up a pretty good savings after a couple of years. Stopped doing the tuition after a couple of years when his pay went up.

I focused on office work, increments and options more than him but probably total annual income is less.

Different people different paths.

pernah kena, for OKU i advice try get government job if you can, at least GOV will give you same salary like normal people
