Hi all home owners,

Especially those that just have the renovation done. I am wondering, how much do u pay to build a concrete table top in the kitchen.

Kindly share your price which is either,

1. To build brand new table top without the cost of tiles .

2. To build new table top with cost of tiles included.

If possible, state your price in lump sum with measurement inclusive, such as foot long.

No any experienced former here?

The last time I did a major renovation was in 2009. So, the price for current day should be slightly higher.

I am expecting for labour with all other essential materials exclude tiles, should be about RM 200 per foot run.

If add on tiles, expecting 2*2 tiles at RM 15 average each.

Any input?

Hey there, i just did mine recently. Basically it cost me 2000 for 22 feet long straight concrete table top. That's just the workmanship cost, tiles not include.

Tiles i bought roughly about 20 per piece x 15 piece (2x2 size).

Per foot run ranging from RM100 to RM150 per foot.
Tiles depends on the material and size that u choose e.g 1x2, 2x2, 3x3, granite, quartz etc
Labour for tiles is around RM7 to RM10 per piece

This indeed is a bargain. It comes with RM 90 per foot run. Since u said it is just workmanship, all reinforcement steel, cement, bricks, sand, and the white liquid inclusive? Don't forget the temporally wood for the mould.

If in this price, pls kindly share with me the contractor number.

To be honest , I don't understand wat u said. U mean 100 to 150 just for the concrete job. U have to pay , separately for tiles? Finally, laying tiles, by the other person?

If I am not wrong, assuming concrete job is 100 per foot run, cheapest tile of 2 times 2 ft is RM 10, layingvtiles another RM 7 per foot run, all concluded is RM 117 per for run?

Your price is even more attractive. Can I have the contractor number as well?

I think it depends on condo or landed property, if condo price should be higher because shorter working time and delivery of materials up and down. Also if you do over certain amount the price drop, if you do only 9 feet doubt you can get this price

Concrete usually depends on foot run, as other posters quoted.

For tiles pricing, it depends on your choice. If you use cheap porcelain tiles you can get it cheap but the aesthetic aspect won't be there. If you use quartz stone/ marbles you will likely pay much more. If average and acceptable usually people opt for porcelain tiles but make sure you choose full bodied tiles if can. In my case I oped for 2x2 full bodied porcelain tiles that costs RM24/piece.
