no idea on curing... but best is to reduce weight gradually and take more natural antioxidant.. such as pineapple, green apple.. etc

diet and exercise is crucial to prevent the attack

I watched my diet too.. But the problem came back.
I think allopurinol. Cochicine and the anti-inflammatory are more harmful

I have gout also and colchicine is better solution for first treatment of high level uric acid (to broke down the crystal first). after cirit birit, start allopurinol and anti inflammatory until pee is no longer look like liquid glass sparkle when light touch it

work everytime but after than start jaga makan lah

All these will do is just neutralize it.

If you really want to get rid of the uric acid in your body, change your way of lifestyle, eat right with a slight indulge during weekends and start going to the gym or run on the field, lower down your weight.

Try to sweat as much as possible as sweating does release some uric acid, google it up. Take a few layers of shirt and run with it. Get all the sweat out and drink as much plain water to flush out all the uric acid.

Back in 2014 i had my 1st gout attack which lasted for 4 weeks which made me immobile, the reading was off the chart as i have taken/consume to much whey protein for my body, i started doing my cardio and lower my protein intake everything is fine now.

Not all protein sources are the same.
The key point is to reduce purine intake. Different source of protein have different level of purine.
Egg white has zero. Milk and milk derived( like whey) have low purine.
Red meat and seafood typically have high purine content.
Certain beans have high purine too.

I had this problem with gout. It started end of last year.
And I had seen so many doctors and 2 specialist in sunway medical.
No cure for my gout. They even injected my big toe with steriod. Still the problem came back after 2 months.

And I started searching the Internet for alternative. And I found this BAKING SODA can be a cure.
I bought a pure baking soda. Brand arm and hammer. And I started to drink with max dosage for a day. On the second day. I started to feel better.. And I kept on drinking for 2 weeks and I can say I can walk like usual now. No more pain and swollen toe.

Thanks God I found this and I hope I can help someone with this problem.

Cut all the refined sugar & get real food less preservative

As refined sugar metabolized in the liver and increase purine thus uric acid.

In gout, Most uric acid came from body producing and not from particular meat.

Watch out your sugar intake & do exercise

It will help you from being drug dependent

Excellent tip!

Lots of people find magnesium chloride in the form of magnesium oil and magnesium flakes (available from Health Lane Pharmacies) can be super effective for four as well.

I found some good FAQs on gout here, in Malaysian context as well:

Protect Yourself and Loved Ones from Gout

But true, I think diet and weight management is the most important when comes to gout - we are what we eat

Using baking soda works but not long term solution because baking soda is a chemical compound. Too much in the long run is harmful to our health. Chemicals are as worst as taking medication

I test my blood using a uric acid meter to determine if I have been eating too many purines, or if I am close to getting another attack. If the reading comes back high, I cut back on the risky foods. If it is low, then I can relax a little bit and maybe eat a little steak. In the end, it's all about moderation and knowing what your body is doing.

Don't suffer from restrictive dieting, wasting time and money. Please go back and read my post #37 (and before that #23 #26) Be sceptical.

Conclusion: Best long term treatment for gout? Take in a breath of fresh air.

My gout CURE recipe:

Cook:
Cabbage Shoot, it's quite small each, some chinese ppl call it Choy Dam (or choi tam?) (2 packs, bought from Jaya Grocer)
Brussels Sprout (maybe 200g or 300g, but just slightly more than the cabbage shoot)
Stir fried Shallots (a big fist full)
The above cooked with mushrooms (forgot what it's called, but Japanese type, not Shitake, not Enoki, square packet packaging, size maybe 5cm x 5cm, i bought 1 x pure white & 1 x brownish, they both come in square packet packaging)

The above is a lot to eat. I cooked the Cabbage Sprout and Brussels Sprout separately with the same ingredients (mushroom, shallots, butter, oil, pepper & salt). I ate 3/4 of it, cant finish cuz there's just too much to eat. I also added some bacon (500g) for extra taste, but i ate very sparingly on the bacon.

1 x Lemon, juiced, added with water in a cup (total combined volume is probably 200 or 300ml)

1 x Kiwi fruit (the hairy, sour ones)

Coriander bunch or cilantro (1packet, maybe 10 grams, cuz think i saw berat kasar as 0.638, but I can't confirm), boil 1 litre water first, put Coriander in boiled water for 30 mins under low heat, drink the 'tea', tastes not great but bearable

10 x fish oil tablet by Blackmores, 1000 mg each, most I ate was 12 tablets previously, so don't worry about OD, eating a whole fat pangasius fish (biggest one you can buy from Mydin) is way more than 10 fish oil tablets, but just make sure the fish oil tabs you buy is properly filtered and mercury free.

So there you go. The above diet cured my gout in 4 hour's time (no noticeable pain detected). I ate it all (3/4 from cooked vege), and drank the 'tea', all in within 1 hour's time.

I hope that my gout cure can cure you too.

P/S: I live to eat and not live to eat. I hunt for the most delicious cuisines that life presents to me. But i do it in moderation to avoid regret and disability. So moderation is the answer. No moderation means impending doom. The choice is yours. Happy eating!
