SO here's the story. When I was playing Halo 2, I can't access one level(Metropolis) tried and tried it just won't happen. It says the CD might be damaged or dirty. The CD isn't dirty but maybe damaged I dunno.
And then the whle game refuses to load. Tried again, no. Turn it off and on again, no. And then after an hour or so I tried again and it wrked but it was a little slow loading after the BUNGIE intro. I could even see it loading after that intro(a big text that said Loading 100% appeared) and it played like normal after that.
But before there was an incident when I played PGR2 where the CD tray won't come out when I tried to eject the game. Also once again when I tried to insert the CD the next day. SO is this the CD's(Halo 2) problem or the CD drive or with the Xbox(I have the old gen) itself??

I was planning to buy a 360 at KK for RM1400 but my parents wouldnt allow it. I have to work for it. Oh well. Oh optics ay? So the solution would be....replacing the CD driver?? Can I do that and retain that Xbox CD tray look? Because it's green and other colours make it look ugly. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Jan 11 2007, 07:55 PM

Hehe I know. Would be a god thing though since I can buy whatever accessories I want and not comply with my parents. Oh and previous post edited. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Jan 11 2007, 07:57 PM

Replacing the Lens can be quite expensive if I'm not mistaken. I would say wait for your 360

But my sister still wants it. So can I replace the CD driver and retain that Xbox CD tray look? Because it's green and other colours make it look ugly.
How much would it cost? How much if I only want to replace the lens??
