Onyx is pretty good, been using ever since. I used to use CCleaner but frankly this app is better optimized and run for Windows machine.

never used any cleanup before eventho i often downlad bit.

maybe sebab i am soo positve the hackers dont pay much attention to mac because major users go for windows, so you know.. not worth the research to make virus for us mac users

How old is your mac and what OS you are using?
Im using CCleaner on my mac but I doubt that it will help speed the my 2010 MBP up much... Ive tried Onyx before but uninstalled it long time ago..

TS is not asking about virus. He is asking ways to housekeep his mac to run smoother.

It will slow down if your Mac is old and the hardware cant keep up with the requirements of latest iOS. Technology improves and require higher hardware requirements. So upgrade is necessary if you want it to be smooth as new. If everything is smooth without upgrade, then all companies will go bust

We have 3 different cleaners in our mac machines. I never found any of them to speed things up.

Maybe in theory they help create a little bit more space available?

I only found duplicate file finder to be useful so far.

Have you tried Clean My Mac ? Have been using it for some time... Seems ok. This ware can also uninstall programmes

http://macpaw.com/landings/cleanmymac3-sto...id=&accname=cmm

Also download Clamxv from the appstore... Its a malware/virus detector...

Also reset your safari often... If thats what you're using.
