My HTC Desire may be too old for use now. Facing problem with not enough memory.

Have moved all the movable apps to SD, still have 3 GB free there.

How can I force apps like Whatapps etc to the SD? That will free up some 40MB on the phone.

Just want to squeeze more life out of my HTC before getting a new mobile.

Thanks.

1001 thanks! You made my day! Will try it out.

See, it is really a nice feeling when one is in trouble and asks for help AND some willing person out there is able to help!

It says I need to root my HTC.

My understanding is rooting gives all the administrative rights to me and can be risky if I do not know what I am doing or some other programs exploiting that priviledge.

My HTC is more than 5 yrs old now and warranty is long gone, like to root it for link2sd application.

Which rooting apps can you recommend? Thanks.

search through xda developer forums and you will be able to evaluate whether rooting is safe. My two cent opinion is just root it and enjoy the phone
