Internet actually has plethora of info for you to figure out ways to overcome the lacking of working equipment. Laptops are pretty much an universal tool for anything and everything. This combines with all sorts of open source software in GitHub, possibilities are endless...
Want to do something else physical? Customise your own hardware and make interface connection in USB or sound port or wireless... Probably university level...
Want something in smaller form factor? Use phones or tablets...
In the end, if all fails or experiment become way too complex, slightly
make modify the result and then comment a bit on the errors and countermeasures... True story

Surely MPM must have make the candidates furious and angry with them on how if these experiments can ever be conducted at school level, accurate and under true supervision that can produce fruitful results...
