I upgraded from a Dell U2312HM to this giant.
VX3209 is very very slim . However there are few drawbacks.

1. It only comes with a super short power cord. This power cord is not the usual power cord that can be used with a common PC power supply. This is like those connected to notebook adaptor ones. 3 rounded pins.
2. Power on LED is not visible. It is stupidly designed the LED is located at the right side bottom of the bezel
3. Buttons to operate the monitor is behind the monitor. It is considered difficult to press.
4. Non height adjustable.

I read some info about this thing which says it has FreeSync but apparently not. And it only supports 60hz@ 1440p although if you set to 75hz, it still work .

This monitor supports 10bit colour (8bit+FRC) and if you have an AMD Radeon or FirePro card yes it can make full use of the 10bit colour. However if you want a super accurate colour monitor , this is not for you. Look elsewhere. This is not 100% Adobe RGB colour capable.

If you are Nvidia card user, Nvidia consumer class cards (Geforce GTX) can only output 10 bit color in a Direct X11 exclusive fullscreen mode. To get 10 bit color output on the Desktop in a way professional applications use it you need a Quadro card and drivers. Nvidia is blocking this for Geforce cards, regardless of the control panel setting a Geforce card will not process/output proper 10 bit color output.  Only the new Pascal cards can support 10bit colour in DirectX apps. OpenGL still 8 bits only.

Gaming wise, be warned, this is a 1440p monitor. Frame rates will be lower compare to a 1080p monitor using the same GPU. Comparison like Overwatch . 1080p easily average 90fps maxed out everything. 1440p only gets me 60~70+fps all maxed out. I'm running a modestly overclocked AMD R9 290.
