Practice makes perfect. Though I still suck. I started with the Dragon Knight and went on to the Dark Elf Archer. Never got the hang of the other Heroes. Meh, I think I'm the last person who should be dishing out DOTA advice lol. Sorry.

When I first started playing I was taught to use Zeus. In that case, can stay further away from creeps/enemy when attack... Best advice for beginners is to use a range hero... I mean that's what I think... Have lots of fun

u try use the range hero 1st ler.. not easy die... coz stand at far mah....

One Problem ! All my friends always make me a No.1 target.Why ? . .BTW,Which Hero have the longest ranged attack ?

your friends all not gentleman one. they thought they are great by killing noobs.... pityful. erm, personally i feel that razor or sniper is the best heroes to start with

when i 1st started play dota i use sniper...bcos have the longest range.

Use lah VS- Vengeful Spirit

1) learn from ur fren..ya really...observe thier gameplay.
2) download replay from net..and learn from it.
3) go look for guides at the dota-allstars forum..there got plenty of them.

experience plays a major part in a dota player's journey to supreme gosu-ness so play as many games as u can n review wat u did wrong n wat would b a bttr move etc.

Sniper has the longest range, i started with razor and eventually moved to drow ranger because it was easy to farm.

rule of thumb - make full use of your mini map.. (to check on the enemy, i dono why but in v6 nowadays .. u dont get to see the enemy in lanes .. they r either busy creeping neutrals or coming down to hunt u down) so make good use of ur mini map
