Looks great, my concern is battery life. I got redmi note 2, battery life is .... so bad. I want to buy redmi note 3(sd ver.), but flash plus 2 also in my mind. Thats after knowing the price(my budget is tight). Should i just go with flash plus 2? I am using flash 2 before, and i have a great experience with it.

Edit: lol, just browsing lazada to check flash plus 2. Put in cart, proceed to check out. Apply save100, get rm514. Without any doubt just proceed to make payment. For the price, i think its worth.😃

I ordered one together with a tempered glass screen protector. Used their SAVE100 and final price is RM549.50. Need to replace my aging HTC M8 with battery problem. This phone got all the features I need such as fast charging, fingerprint reader, FHD screen, (only lacking the front firing speaker).

I don't game on my phone so hopefully this Flash Plus 2 will be decent.

Almost stock Android, QC and a decent all round specs. Looks pretty good, might get one for my wife. Although I wonder if the quick charge could work with a different 2A charger..? Obviously she won't lug the stock charger around to work and such so...

The link was renamed to Flash 2, not flash plus 2.

Any 2A charger will work. The stock charger provided is 9V/ 1.67A though. Can fully charged in 1 hour (maybe plus few minutes).

I got it with COD option when the link was Flash Plus 2, now became Victim.

Parcel arrived yesterday, guess what? It is Flash 2, not Flash Plus 2 as i ordered.
the invoice stated Flash Plus 2 with imei which belong to a Flash 2!

I called its CS, asked for replacement. They replied saying that they will ask their Ninja van to come n pick up.
WTF! They don't admit their fault or apologize!

What shd I do then?

great, hope you able to do a mini review after using it on a daily basis. i'm thinking of buying this phone also.

Just used it for a couple hour. My tempered glass SP is still not yet here so keep factory screen sticker on for now.

I changing phone from HTC One M8 so this Flash Plus 2 got a lot of expectation to fill.

First impression, build quality is quite good. There is some minor finishing not proper on my headphone jack but that's it as far as I can tell.

Home button is kinda stiff, but it's not an issue.

The rear speaker is good. Well as good as a rear speaker can be since my old HTC got front facing boomsound. An issue might surface when one put the phone inside pocket and the speaker could get muffled.

Fingerprint reader is FAST and quite accurate (not as accurate as my friends Vivo V3 Max but still good and just as fast!) Do note that the fingerprint reader doesnt work when the screen is off.

Double tap to wake! (this feature was used a lot on my HTC)

The UI is very close to vanilla android. Love it. Surprisingly there's very few bloatware on this phone.

Camera, well it's shit in low light. (my HTC got ultrapixel duo camera so i might be asking too much)

Overall I dont regret purchasing this phone. Anything you guys want to know or test just tag me ya.

Headphone sound quality, i used my HTC headphones(these can deliver really good quality) to test, and it doesnt disappoint. Audio is loud and clear to me.

Yes. The screen have to wake up first before can fingerprint unlock. You can do that via 3 way, power button, homebutton, and double tap.

For how the phone looks like. Just go on youtube. Its quite nice in person.

Now it's standing at 1:30hrs, battery level left 70%. I'll attach a screenshot when battery gets low.
Sorry I dont have a RN3 to compare. From many reviews on the net, RN3 have better SOT.

SOT screenshot as promised. My whole day spent at really bad cellular signal area, Data was ON the whole time except when i'm at office for a while. Screen brightness was at high. Battery lasted me from 6am till 9:30pm with some juice still left.

Was charging the phone and pleasantly surprised the fast charging went from 16% to 70% in about half hour. Thats bloody fast!

Another thing to note to potential buyer. There's exist no accessories for this phone yet, zero, nil, zilch. There's no screen protector, soft case, hard case... Asked Lazada where my Tempered Glass went, they said it's still on back order with no ETA mentioned.

Not a bad battery consider its only 3k mah

My previous redmi note 2 barely hit 3 hour sot with similar cpu n battery capacity, i can see its not even below 10% battery yrt

Probably because this Flash Plus 2 uses android 6 and pretty stock UI with very little bloatware. Do note that I don't game on my phone. Most of the activity was FB, web browsing, email, whatsapp and such.

Sadly this is not enough for me. Need at least close to 5 hours sot.

It's different CPU and GPU. I think helio P10 won't have overheating issue like RN2. But for me the real problem is the freaking damn slow charging when using powerbank. Totally useless when I don't have charger in my hand.

Consider the price tag for it, about 4 hour sot is pretty decent, some flagship dint even reached that,

For your usage (5 sot), i think either rn3 or redmi 3 should hit ur target

I doubt Spigen will make one for Flash. The market is just too small. And not many will buy a rm80-100 case to protect a rm500 phone.

I'm waiting for quotes from LYN taobao agents for the glass SP. Anyway I not gonna use any case since the phone is cheap, and the metal back is actually really nice to the touch.

Quick update today, the battery actually drain a lot faster in very poor cell coverage area with mobile data on. (No wifi today, so whole day on data) Around noon I charge it from 49% to 100% in around half hour. The Flash Charging still amazes me.

Did experience some lag today when using the dialer and contacts. Contacts suggestion take some time to come out when typing in the name. Not a big issue. No lag anywhere else experienced.

Does capacitive key got light?

Yup got white led. Also got white notification LED on top left of the phone.

All smartphone drain more battery than usual when in poor signal areas.

Found the Flash Plus 2 32gb with 3gb ram link. Seem like goes on sale 20th June at rm729. After Lazada coupon should be rm600+. Wait for this one guys, 16gb of memory is just not enough.

A few more findings:
1. The adaptive screen brightness doesnt seem to work.
2. USB data transfer to internal memory only works when the phone is unlocked. When transfering files from computer to the phone, you have to keep the screen active.

Try the lazada thread at kopitiam. Usually have 10-15% off.

Anyway today went to my friends handphone shop, found out Tempered Glass for Samsung Galaxy A7 fit perfect for this FP2. Great!

Off topic, saw the item has come 10% , after discount is RM656.10.

issit Flash Plus 2(with E-compass) should be better compare to Flash 2 ?cause seem wired using Flash 2 and switch on Waze or Fitbit

hi, may i know how much ram left after the phone boot?

The only lag I encountered is during calls. Other than that it is smooth. Do note that I don't play any games so my usage is a lot different than others.

About RAM, I never encountered out of RAM issue, but as I said, I dont install weird widget/font/bloatware/launcher/theme.

The only issue preventing me recommending this phone a 10/10 is the camera quality.

worse than redmi note 2. the stock camera is kinda buggy. using 3rd party camera app currently, camera mx and open camera.

Bad like.... bad....... But Flash is working on an update for the camera.
If you can live with MIUI, get RN3.

Sad to report my FP2 dropped from a height of 0.5m and cracked and broke the screen, thus ending the life of my FP2.
It have no Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail. So the screen is easily damaged. Look like I will go back to flagship class phone soon. Goodbye Flash Plus 2. It was fun while it lasted

Edit: Messaged Flash Malaysia on FB if it is possible to have the screen fixed. Let's see how they respond.

How long does it need to lock on gps signal?

57 second first time, tried again 2 minute 47 seconds while inside the building. Outside lock in 2 second.

Wow seem like snapdragon did a better job in gps. I remember using my previous phone which has SD615, gps locking inside my uni hostel just need within 20 seconds

since i'm not a power user, what do you guys normally use the gps for?

Anyway, for those who have a problem copying large files into the FP2, whereby when the screen is locked, the file transfer will failed, you can do a temp fix at least until they fix this issue in the next software update (if there is any)

Enable the developer mode.

Check the stay awake while charging.

Once you finish transfer, then you can uncheck the option.
