Guys,

i plan for the above

http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-11-3162-...-11-3162-laptop

RM 1299
D- Dell Inspiron 11 3162-7045SG-W10 Laptop/ Notebook
- Intel® Pentium® N3700-1.6GHz
- 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB SATA HDD
- Intel® HD Graphics
- Windows 10 Home 64bit

Want to know whether this is a good deal?

I just need something which can fit my bag for me to take around. Do some surfing, excel update.... Nothing heavy....

Anyone can advise?

Thanks.

regards,

We have an earlier version which is similar, 11-3147.

Experience has been good, esp with Dell service as they replaced the touchpad soon after purchase and recently, after a year or so, they replaced the motherboard due to a sleep/bios issue.

Quad-core Pentium + 4GB ram is fine for most normal office, browsing and media consumption. The screen on the 3147 is IPS and good quality. Battery life is not bad too.

There are speed issues with the 500GB HDD as compared to an SSD but an SSD can be installed. Several people have done this, as well as increase RAM to 8GB as not soldered on.
