Unfortunately most forumers here interested buying new cars with warranties. They are not interested in uncle / grandpa cars. Want to be in a shiny new plasticky Vios / City .

For me I love the W126 300SE. With some proper restoration and some nice large rims will make it stand out in the crowd

One of the most important things in restoring these old cars is to ensure rust proofing is properly done

they do create the 5.0l and 5.6l V8 monster but only in other western countries.. in Malaysia would anyone want to guess how much and willing to pay for a 5.0l V8 road tax. even 3.0l already some would cringe on paying the road tax here.

in fact... can't afford to drive old car due to fuel consumption/part price/time to source. saw once old jag (maybe 5000cc) being left to rot...

I don't recall there having a coupe version of the W116... hmm.gif Unless you mean the SL series aka C/R107... the newer S-Class do have the coupe variant @ C126...

... there are a few 500/560SE/Ls out there, just it's super rare and the tax required to keep it on the road makes it a choice that not many would take...

My aunt's husband once had a 80s Jag XJ6, nope it didnt have a 5.0L engine but with a 3.4L engine, bought and owned since new.
Imagine whats the fuel consumption when that car had 2 petrol tanks.

Old Jags are not popular in Malaysia; needs someone to appreciate British engineering.
