As the title suggest, I am looking to try and open my first business selling video games, including consoles, the games and accessories related to them.

Any kind soul would help and suggest me a reputable supplier?

Basically, I am planning to sell them online to test the water so to speak, before moving to physical stores and whatnot. I believe healthy competition is good for the consumers, plus I am based in Sarawak, so most of the clients I think would be from this region as there are many sellers already based in the Peninsular.

Thanks in advance.

All I can say is I've spent hundreds of dollars on console and PC games this year and none of them was handed over to a game store cashier.

Yeap.
Online and second hand market is killing small game shop owners everywhere.

With Steam, people don't buy PC games so often anymore. And console peeps tend to buy second hand.

But random accessories might be good.

Those were the days where speedy CD shops are at every corner. Now why do you need to even go to the store? You just torrent, spotify or itunes it. Which is the same with your idea. Why do i need to go to your store if i can juat get it on steam. Easy and hasstle free. You might want to do it as a side business juat to add on to your income. But not as a main provider for yourself as it looks bleak

Plus don't forget all the payoffs.
Even a cybercafe thing is dicey, you have to pay the "joint pearl" (translate to Malay) to be left alone, or they will send thugs ... Lim Kit Siang got a letter from a cybercafe operator about that.

So many game titles and suppliers. There is no way you can get a supplier who distribute all to you and willing to provide consignment, lower than usual supplier cost.

It's a heavy investment,u sure u got the money?
U wanted to test the market..I assume u won't take a lot of stocks..

To have a good supplier that provides ideal cost is makes or breaks a company.

Kinda agreed.

For consoles games, yes, if possible, buy 2nd hand.

Anyway, this is not something i feel has lots of potentials.

Better sell some other stuff.
