Hi everyone,
Recently, I bought an "authentic" Longchamp Neo that is supposedly flown in directly from France. After nearly 3 weeks of wait, I received the bag. It is FAKE! INSPIRED! High grade imitation!
I compared it with an authentic Longchamp Neo bought from a Longchamp store.
I also posted it on BlogPurse Forum. The verdict was: FAKE. (http://forum.purseblog.com/longchamp/authenticate-this-longchamp-read-1st-page-before-posting-890060-190.html)
How I know its fake? Pics on this site:
1. The smell. A sickly plastic smell. You know the plastic smell you get from new cars? Yes, THAT. The authentic Neo did not smell like that. It had a nice smell of leather.
2. The leather of the flap and handles felt different too. The fake one is more stiff and coarse. The authentic one is softer and buttery.
3. Measurement differences between the pocket, handle sizes, etc.
4. Uneven and unfinished stitching and endings.
5. Off centered plastic protector for the button.
6. Serial number on bag doesnt match the code on the plastic.
I am too depressed to continue. Just dont make the same mistake as me.
UPDATE: Finally got the seller to refund me after a week! Yeay! Case closed!
