debuchy's pretty alright as a backup if he wants to stay. if not, calum chambers can put in a shift. in defence we pretty much need a mertesacker replacement, i'm not very confident with gabriel, fella's positioning is crap but he makes up for it with pace.
i'm not sure where xhaka will play, will he be putting in a defensive shift a la coquelin or will he be a deep lying playmaker like santi, who needs a defensive partner in the middle? he looks like someone who could replace santi in the future, not confident in a xhaka/santi mid. maybe a xhaka/coquelin could work. iuno i havent watched his games to properly say. up front, load off campbell and walcott. giroud and welbeck are great backup strikers, but seriously neither are Kane/Vardy/Aguero quality. unconvinced about Icardi. Vardy thrives in the Leicester system due to their counter attacking play, and iinm vardy and icardi are built rather similarly, i dont think they both would work with the tippy tappy football we play. who's playing up top for Germany this Euro? iinm german central STs are never physically quick, or at least that's not their key attribute, it's always been finishing and heading (klose, gomez). since wenger (let's face it guys) wont change that part of his game, it might be wise to find someone in that mould then... muller anyone? /s This post has been edited by Thumpy Ick: May 22 2016, 07:58 PM |

mourinho at man utd is going to be insufferable, but i also think it's either going to be wildly successful or a downright catastrophe

QUOTE(kazekage_09 @ May 24 2016, 08:13 AM) Welcome xhaka. Hope another 2 signings to strengthen our squad. mata's younger than santi too, and i think he would be fantastic on the right to replace walcott. hasnt been that successful at man utd tho, if he thinks he can shine here i'd welcome him. i still rate him as one of the best mids in EPL, his time at chelsea was superb until mourinho.Poor mata. Sold by mou at chelsea then meet again at mu. If mou want sell him, i dont mind at all we taking him. His style suit or gameplay imho |

shieeet, manchester derby is going to fire. pep vs mou.
i've never considered city to be a tough to beat, i'd rather face city than our bogey teams like stoke or swansea or whatever. but pep's likely gonna change that. |

ricardo rodriguez ni sapa?
according to fifa he's an 83 LB, which is quite high for a fullback. i guess gibbo's time is up? |

just realized france have a fantastic team for the euros, and have home advantage.
i think Ollie G's gonna have a great tournament up front, which will again cause wenger to say "we have a worldclass striker in giroud". not complaining if that happens, G is a confidence striker, he'll thrive off the confidence of winning the euros for next season, but at least bring in a contender, esp now welbeck's out |

laksazette to spurs seems like a good deal for them... he can play on the flanks right? they've got shit wingers, this is a good transfer for them if it happens.
i wonder why we're not in for any strikers yet, other than the RM players. |
