i thought coq once said he "bossed" CB in training? maybe he should be given a role there, play xhakasanti or xhakaneny in CM, or even xhakaramsey if walcott starts at RW.

i see we're well stocked in the middle, with xhaka/coq/santi/elneny/ramsey/wilshere for the 2 CM positions, and ozil pretty much cemented in CAM with santi and possibly ramsey/wilshere that can do a decent job as backups there.
up front though... we only have giroud and alexis who are first team quality. we've seen ramsey play RW countless times last season, but that's not his natural position. his inclusion to the team was, as many of us said last season, shoehorned into the side due to his godson status but it worked decently since he drifted in the center with bellerin covering the flanks. theo is theo, he's like a quicker podolski with some differences in finishing style. i still rate his finishing as among the best in the squad, but he's more of an impulse finisher, a lot better when not given time to think, but tends to overthink when given time and space. oxlade is also oxlade.. flashes of brilliance here and there, but never has the end product. and injuries. iwobi is alright, campbell is ????? and i dont think asano will be impactful in his first season at the club. it's interesting to think about which pair will play in CM, and who is going to be added up front, because alexis is the only dependable player we have there. |

not too positive about tonight, liverpool in high spirits still from their pre season, while we're left with lots of players unavailable for selection
i for one am interested to see how wenger plays the CM position, xhaka confirm main. sapa pair dia? coquelin to defend coutinho/mane, or santi/ramsey for a more attacking approach? or elneny? |

top 4 success is a reality in this club.

... did we just loan off our true RW?
i mean i get that joel isnt highly rated by wenger, but shit he put in more than decent performances everytime he plays, has better end product that AOC, is more dependable than walcott. are we still going to play ramsey as a RW then? edit: oh wait ramsey's injured. walcott and AOC it is then. can jack play against us? i sure wouldn't enjoy the sight of that
but i'm still very pleased he's off for a loan. he obviously is a talented player yet to reach his peak, and consistent game time is only going to do him good. i'm pretty sure he'll be in the midst of every attack. just hope he stays healthy. |

QUOTE(stryker_cs87 @ Sep 6 2016, 02:27 PM) Question guys, izit possible to play 4-4-2 formation with our current crop player in our squad?, why wenger did not stick to this formation since the invincible season? IMO it's because of the emergence of cesc fabregas during that era. wenger saw him as the main man to build the new arsenal around. he had two players behind cesc to cover for defence, and players on his left, right and in front for him to work with. |
