Hummels also revealed that Arsenal did not contact him over a transfer.
"I don't have to beat about the bush, and pretend they [Arsenal] wanted me," he said. "There was no offer. The same applies for Spain, there was always contact but no option right now. That's why I now have made the fundamental decision to continue my career in Germany."

Nope. I've high rationality and high EQ. I'm cool to finish top 4 every season. Not suggesting that Arsenal should settle with just that and not aim higher.
deswai MU paid 100m for Pogba, i personally think MU are paying that fees not because he fkin 100m-talented good..but more of a scarce talent he is a workaholic up and down....he doesn't score that regularly, but he can contribute in a lot of things, jack of all trades.
too many top players aging and retiring, there are new talents, but not blossoming at the rate enough to cater for all top clubs. soon every tom dick and harry is going to pay multi millions for B-grade players or so
gems usually get snapped up by other teams with more money already with their own extensive scouting network. one of wenger's legacy is his unconventional method of getting unknown players from lesser known clubs which more than a decade ago was a very rare thing to do. you would think that someone as revolutionary as wenger would change his ways and adapt to the changes in how clubs are recruiting players but nope. still sticking to his old ways when all the other richer clubs have already caught up.
Chelsea has turned the youth system into a money making scheme. Buy and then loan them out and eventually selling them.
Roman probably has had enough of endless money injection. They adopted that system after kicking out Jose Mourinho.
lol wenger seldom (or never) say about these stuff until official announcement, even for ozil signing, he just grinned. guess he also feel the pressure from th media and fans
