Hi guys.
I found a nice acoustic guitar at China and thinking maybe will travel to China and bring it back myself.
So I started to think on how to bring the guitar back and search for some opinion with Google.
Below were what they did:
1. Bring the guitars to the cabin and let the flight attendance put it else where or some empty seats.
2. Bought an extra seat for the guitar.
3. Checked in their guitars for cargo.

Just wondering how you guys carry your instruments oversea? Which airline did you take?
Thanks in advanced smile.gif

if u got extra money, no 2 is the safest, since it will be seating beside u all the time (if the cabin crew allowed).

if not, no 1 is ur best bet.

no 3 is a gamble. i'v seen baggage handlers just throw2 the bags when offloading. sweat.gif

**some airlines, taxes higher than fares one -- if you can hunt for that then lucky ler, very low price

Since guitar is quite portable compare to piano or drums extra seat is good enough.

u already found a guitar in china, so logically wouldn't it make more sense to just have it shipped over via courier?

I have tried checking in with a hard case with plastic wrapper & foams inside, and fingers' crossed!
