Steroids creams are the 1st line treatment for eczema/psoriasis in Malaysia sadly sweat.gif

Did the doctor explain to you the cause of your eczema?

If you want to try out 100% pure shea butters instead of those steroids, I'm doing a give away now. You can check my give away thread.

Eczema is a dry skin condition. Tends to happen when your skin gland isn't producing the natural oils to keep your skin moisturized.

So you have to moisturize the affected areas yourself with moisturizers.

Might be some useful discussion in this LYN thread but depends on what exactly is your condition, take a look:

Since your skin is sensitive, you may want to pay attention to the body shampoo/soap you are using as well. Best to use those are naturally made instead of the commercial ones available in supermarket.

Take care of your diet too, perhaps you can consider doing detoxification. I got some experience in this field, feel free to PM me if you want to know more.

Anyone knows any good dermatologist around pj or elsewhere. Need to get rashes checked out. Has anyone encountered such rash before? It is mainly on my lower legs.

Hi There,

Based on the picture, it is confirm you have dry skin:

75% chance it's an allergic reaction to something. if so, stop taking what you are currently taking and watch your diet for what triggers it and avoid it in future.

25% chance it's eczema best to see a skin specialist Dr. Koh is one of the best & pricey. I recommend you go normal hospital like GH and all unless your insurance cover it.

I don't believe that is psoriasis. Unless it is at it's infant stage.

What can you do now

As a immediate remedy, wash with water only & use lotion on those affected area, you will need to apply lotion 3 times a day, 1 after bath in the morning, 1 afternoon & 1 during dusk hours.

There are special "dry-skin" lotions look for it. I would recommend "Eubos" as it works well for me. There are others too, if this does not work or you find it too expensive then try others.

here are the products I recommend for you to use:

https://online.guardian.com.my/index.php/pb...otect-25ml.html

https://online.guardian.com.my/index.php/pb...ream-200ml.html

There are other pharmacy that sells it for cheaper prices especially during promotion. I normally buy mine at Big A, Caring, Watson's & Guardian Pharmacy. (the latter the cheaper during non promotional period)

again this is from my point of view, best to refer to a Doctor or Specialist, all the best & hope this helps. thumbup.gif

It is recommended you go for a food allergy test with your doctor to find out whether is it food or environmental factors which is causing your eczema.

I got very sick when I cut out many essential food and in the end I found that I was not allergic to any of them.

My eczema was not improving. Only after the food allergy test that I found out that my skin condition was due to environmental factors.

Need to moisturise the skin after bath and constantly applying lotion throughout the day.

get a food allergy blood test
it will tell you what you are eating may cause the rash symptoms
but as far as i knw for eczema, no cure, can only avoid and prevent.
use cetophil, good product
for me i was tested allergic towards gluten and wheat products as well as crustaceans.

Be careful about using steroids cream to treat your eczema.

Overusing it will screw up your immune system and you will be dependent on it. Furthermore, there are side effects for using steroids for long term.

Please look for topical steroids withdrawal for more info. I am currently undergoing it.
