When cooked, it looks like the one in yr foto. When cooking, the water turns deep purple.
It has a mild sweetish, nutty taste.
Not sure about side effects tongue.gif

Thanks happy.gif

1. How long have you been eating it?

2. How many bowls per day?

3. How's the bowel movement?

4. How to cook? Same way with brown rice? More water?

1. Abt 6 months

2. I dun eat everyday, only once or twice a mth when I make salad with it

3. Hence, becoz of no.2, I can't comment on bowel mvmt (I'm thinking the fibre content is similar to that of brown rice?)

4. 1 c rice, 1.5 c water (I like my rice with some bite to it)
Rice in pot, add water, boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, cook abt 40 mins. If want rice softer, add a abit more water (.25 - .5 c) and cook longer up to an hour.

Note: For optimum digestion, soak rice overnight. Reduce cooking time to 25 mins.

Normally I soak 7-12 hrs.

Quinoa is a protein-rich seed that is treated like a grain:

So you still eat white rice?

Brown rice as well?

I bought those Gold Ecobrown Brown rice.

So lazy to cook brown rice...longer tongue.gif

Hated white rice because felt cheated; get hungry again after a while.

But no choice had to eat white rice (bought from kedai makan) because too hungry, thus felt dizzy.

Already dizzy...then had to wait for brown rice... sweat.gif

I dun hv white rice at home but will eat once in a while when dining out with frens/relatives or eat at their homes (no choice just take a bit sweat.gif)

Brown rice yes abt once a week usu porridge, fried brown rice mee hoon or mee hoon soup)

That's tough when faced with no choice ya

Yeah...white rice being a simple carb gets digested fast thus can cause low blood pressure or spike in blood sugar hence the dizziness.

How about soaking your brown rice? That should help to cut down the cooking time by half.

So part of your diet is brown rice, black rice, brown bihun soup/fried.

How about bread?

Jacob's Wheetameal?

I always soaked my brown rice.

15 minutes.

Cooking on the stove much faster.

Compared with a rice cooker sweat.gif

After almost an hour baru dapat makan rclxub.gif

Waiting another 15 minutes for the cooked rice to settled.

Yes, and brown rice crackers. But not everyday. I eat more veg and fruit.

No bread or biscuits.

Ah I see...cooking on the stove better!

Haha...if I have to wait for rice cooker, can turn into Incredible Hulk laugh.gif
