when iPhone is finally released here im Msia, will it be an exclusive service too? Like how in the States you gotta subscribe to AT&T. And ASAP and PS360, how much did you get ur iPhone for, eh?

Well i got a friend in LA now and tempted to ask him to get the iPhone for me. But there are several concerns which bother me.

1.I've got a Maxis number and i'm too keen to change my number just to have the iPhone as it would be too troublesome for ppl to contact me. One of the forumer in previous page mentioned maxis works perfectly but never hear from him since. Is that true?

2.Another thing is, would future updates render the 'unlock' useless?

3.Yeah, can it be activated without the AT&T SIM?

4.Would be cheaper during the release here in Malaysia than me buying it now at USD399 (at an exchange rate of USD 1 = RM3.5)?

I think customs charges a big fee for importing phones.

I have got absolutely no idea how much they would charge for tax, etc. But if you're only bringing one unit back will it still be charged? I mean you could always declare it as ur personal item or something to have the tax waved? LOL i'm not sure. Maybe someone could tell us.

Well, there bound to be flaws here and there. It happens to all phones. It is whether you can live with it or not.

Trixx had successfully unlocked an iPhone, if i'm not mistaken. With that said, i think he meant, "PM me if you want me to unlock your iPhone".

KTCY: There's an old saying which goes like this, "If you have got nothing good to say, just keep your mouth shut." FYI, i didn't sign the petition. Not because i think Maxis wouldn't give a shit. I'm not sure if they would. It is simply just because i don't own an iPhone. But what's the problem with you when someone trying to do something good for everyone else?

I'm just voicing out mate. I never know that got such rule in here that I can't post up a post of my opinion.

Maybe I should learn from you to be harsh on asking a person to keep his mouth shut.

Anyway, I rest my case. rolleyes.gif

Well, how else to talk to people with a sarcasm like yours? Cheers.
