QUOTE(wei @ Sep 19 2007, 05:52 PM) Some development from Maxis. Was told they finally have an iPhone for testing. Now the fail call become "number unavailable". Hopefully it's just software issue. Anyone That Is Using Maxis With Their iPhone Can Confirm This? Now At Least There's Hope! So The Unit That They Got For Testing Is Also Unlocked? Don't Ever Tell Me It's From Apple (Because If It's So It Means It Means That iPhone Is Coming To Malaysia ).. Only In Year 2008

QUOTE(wei @ Sep 21 2007, 10:40 AM) Not yet not yet... one more week to go. Don't worry, I'm sure will come in to "taruk" poisons. On the maxis problem, I finally gotten my hand on the right person's contact. Thanks to my friend working in Ogilvy (the ad agency that's doing maxis stuff). Given the contact to my buddy that understand better on GSM & techincal stuff, he also holding an iPhone. So he's a better position to talk to maxis. Should be talking with the contact person today. Just wait for update. Good! Post More Pics... If Possible, Write A Small Review.. QUOTE(terranova @ Sep 21 2007, 11:06 AM) Sorry but I think I should remind ppl again here .... if u plan to use the iPhone as an iPod Touch i.e. as a multimedia device, pls pls bear in mind that the iPhone doesn't accept std headsets/earplugs jacks .... unless u buy an adapter from third party like Griffin. In other words, you can only use the std crappy white earplugs from Apple which for me is not that great (audio quality wise) and fits poorly in my ears (one size fits all). If you can live with the bundled earplugs from Apple, then of course you should have no problem. On a brighter note, at least the iPhone has speakers, unlike the iPod Touch. Hahaha .... BUT BUT the iPod Touch has that cute little stand to make the unit sit up diagonally, whereas I find myself having to hold the iPhone or lean against something to make it sit up, not good for watching videos on the plane. Ah, The "cute little stand"? I Think Can DIY Easily..

QUOTE(megatron007 @ Oct 1 2007, 08:21 PM) tis one working apn: unet username:maxis password: wap Yea... Actually, For Those Who Have Activated 3G Before (*136#), They Need To Use Maxis 3G WAP Settings.. Which The APN Is unet Although They Are Not Using A 3G Phone.. Think It This Way.. You Are Using A 3G Phone But You Are Not In The 3G Coverage Network, You Still Can Surf The Web With Maxis 3G WAP Profile And Receive MMS With Maxis 3G MMS Settings... (Duh, Don't Tell Me You Need To Change Your Phone Settings Each Time You Are Out Of 3G Zone).. So, Now You Put In Your SIM Card To The iPhone.. Maxis Thought That You Still Use Your 3G Phone But Not In Or Disabled The 3G Network Coverage.. So You Still Need To Use The 3G Settings For Data... Well, This Applies To All Phones, Not Only The iPhone... To Make It Short And Simple, If You Have Activated 3G Before, Use The APN As unet.. While For Those Who Only Activated GPRS/EDGE (*133#, If I Can Remember Well), The APN Is net..
