guys, im now in California and just browse through and get to know Iphone's price (8G model) has drop to USD399!!!! Approximately RM1400 (taking 3.5 as conversion rate). I'm goin to get one for myself later today but im afraid the version is 1.1.1 and according to this website http://iphone.unlock.no/ you canot use ur iphone as a phone even u downgrade ur version to 1.0.2. Has anyone with version 1.1.1 already downgrade to version 1.0.2 and iphone can work as a phone using maxis?

I have just talk to Apple's people and they told me that the phone is totaly unuseable (not even the mp3 function can be use) if I did not activate it using AT&T sim card. I guess they are bluffing me but just to be sure, is that true? If it is true, do you guys activate it using AT&T sim card first then only unlock the phone to use for other sim card?

guys...i jst bought my bck my iphone from apple store...its soooooo niceee.....and one more good news it that, it's version is v1.0.2. YEAH..means that i can use it for other sim card!!! anyone wan me help to buy it? its roughly USD450 (including tax).
im now starting to follow tutorial to hack it (although im in US now but i got bring my maxis sim card!!!). so happy now yay!!

it's true bro, i was in santa clara, califronia and the apple store there were crowded with people (i guess everyone rush to buy a reduce USD200 iphone). This is the first time in my life i saw ppl queue up to buy a phone!!!! u will never see this in plaza lowyat or wherever!!! i reading through the tutorial now and hopefully i can crack it...will post up some pics and the results soon!!! (its 12midnite here but im still so excited!!!) wuahahaha

guys, i have a problem here. it seems like i canot even start using the iBrickr (iBrickr it keeps asking me to download the iphone firmware when i press "check again"). i have change my itune to v7.3.1.3 and check and my phone did have firmware of version 1.0.2. Any idea y this is happening? i have try to press the "home" button + power button try to go into restore mode but nothing happen except the phone shut down and restart again. damn frustrating now

thanks, i didnt know that in order to enter restore mode, u have to press "home" button + power button while the screen shows the apple logo. im saw "sweet" words from iBrickr d and now proceeding.

Just another question, how you all take out the AT&T sim card? the card slot seems lock in very tight...damn...i use small pin to poke the hole but canot one?

well, its not the firmware problem actually. it is because at first i don't know how to go into "restore" mode. After i made it to "restore" mode and follow the instruction on this website http://iphone.unlock.no/ it WORKSS, my iphone is now UNLOCK!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSS.....and after i hard poking the hole, the stupid AT&T sim card come out and i replace with my maxis sim card then use it to connect to T-mobile (another phone line service provider in US) through my maxis sim card and YEAHHHHHH....i got signal bar on my unlock iphone.
I guess it shouldn't be a problem for me to connect bck to maxis when i bck to malaysia

Im attaching the pic of unlock iphone with signal bar...wohoooo...bye bye my n73 and ipod video, im gona sell u both out...wuahahaha....gona sleep now (3.41am here!!!) and tmr gona try to call out and sms see can get through or not.

i dont know whether firmware v1.0.2 is limited here or not but seems to me yesterday alot of ppl queue up to get their iphone. If this keeps on, i think the old firmware stock will finish very fast.

so tis means that DIGI has no problem to make a call out, recived a call, send sms, received sms and also use it to online? i just bought it and straight unlock it without any hesitation...hahaha...brave enough huh? anyway, it really just quite simple to unlock if u follow the instruction given from the website.

currently whats the status of maxis using iphone in malaysia? previous post said it is able to send and received sms, can call out but just canot received call rite? is the status still same now? then how about internet using maxis (not using wifi)?
