Analysts believe Apple will be getting a share of subscriber revenue from AT&T.
While AT&T maybe giving up a lot of its customary control of the handset's operations, Apple has given it a five-year US exclusive on the iPhone, another unheard-of deal for the industry, where six months is a more common exclusivity period. And while sharing revenue with Apple, it's not subsidising the retail price of the phone, which is otherwise the practice.

this is interesting.does that mean that we might be getting US499 (approximately RM1,896) for a model with 4GB of storage, and US599 (approximately RM2,276) for an 8GB model???
but if compared to the trend laid by iPods, retail price will be way too ridiculous and maybe we have to fall back on bulk purchase for cheaper than retail cost(Malaysia, not US)???
