QUOTE(MoNnY @ Jun 8 2007, 01:50 AM) lol.. i know what u mean... I am quite agree with you actually.but seriously, when u do look at it from a consumer standpoint for it to be a mobile phone, it really isn't much of a mobile phone compared to what nokia or SE has accomplished... but if u look at it as a media player, ITS GREAT !!!! but when u weight the features of the iphone, between multimedia and being a mobile phone, the weightage goes more to it being a multimedia device... more to it being a glorified ipod.. and not to say it can do stuff a windows mobile PDA phone can do. Those are basically a mobile desktop. the Iphone, really doesn't have much going for it other than its enchanced ipod experience and doubling as a phone, plus the damn coool design and interface. Which is enough to drag buyers in.... including me... and since its US, the most exposed phone to them is motorola... that is their benchmark of phones which explains the iphone... in US, it makes perfect sense.. but elsewhere, it really doesn't because we have such a huge market with phone capable of doing much more PHONE related stuff. u guys can flame me but this is seriously my two cents on the iphone... given that i have the money, i would buy it. i really would.. but if i had the money to choose only an iphone or a pda phone, i think i would be better off with a pda phone Added on June 8, 2007, 1:51 amyea i have an ipod.. i know how its like.... lol.... and once again, u said it, they design the iphone based on the knowledge they have on the ipod.. sleek edges, compact design... people say its either love or hate.. i love and hate the iphone at the same time... But then, phone is just to make calls what. What makes a phone interesting is the multimedia features. You see, what are people seeking for when buying phones? The multimedia features! MP3, movie playback, camera, etc. Very few who would use GPRS to surf. Nowadays, a phone is no longer just a phone. All phones selling currently are having these multimedia features and i dont see why shouldn't. Being the iPhone running with OS X is a plus, just almost going to like smart phone. So, what would actually "PHONE" related stuffs are ? |

QUOTE(MoNnY @ Jun 8 2007, 02:29 AM) goooood one.. i guess the only phone related stuff should be the battery lol... quite speechless already... phone related stuff, removable battery, expandable memory.. all these are very much liked... freedom to use the expandable memory not only in your phone but other devices.. also, like the iphone, everything has to be done through your computer... which if u are on holiday, and wiht no laptop, can be quite a pain.. but u see, it goes back to my main point... its just a glorified ipod.. the multimedia features, are ipod features... its the same like a pda phone.. its basically a normal pda, an organizer, but with added phone features... basically, yea its an ipod with phone functionality in the same way a PDA phone is a PDA wiht phone functionality... the thing that annoys me is that the features are lagging behind phones produced outside of US like 3g and a front camera. yes, but i think we should make further comments on iPhone after some users get their hand on it at the US. There is rumors where iPhone might be 3G when reaching here which is 2008 who knows ? |

QUOTE(MoNnY @ Jun 8 2007, 02:36 AM) problem is, does Jobs realise that his product will be sold at places that aren't America ? where we have 3G and they don't ? where we have much more phones that can do much more ? if he didn't realise that the product wont be sold at places outside America, we would be getting at June 29th I guess. I see no point of delaying. if he does, then there is hope for the 2nd Gen iphone... pray he does make it happen.... still, they didn't mention when in 2008 Unless, they want the US to be the white rats sadly, nothing about when in 2008 |
